My 2cnd car in 1977 was a 61 Alpine, paid $100.00, bought a snap on hardtop $60.00 at Genes sport car parts on Scott rd Surrey BC. My Dad was dockmaster at Sterling shipyards in Vancouver,spray painted it on the decks late at night. What great memories
Actually, Mike, the power comes from the heat NOT being bled out of the exhaust stream, through the header material itself, thereby speeding up the gases as they exit the system, improving scavenging.
In an extended scene of Edd die-grinding the ports on the cylinder head, he actually lost his mind when doing this, which even resulted to him swearing a bit as well due to how long it took to die-grind the ports., and to add the cherry on top, the camera crew didn't want to film anymore of the scene, which was kind of a relief and a bit annoying for Edd.

Edd is in the videos, but other people own the rights to them. It is essentially a direct consequence of the contract that Edd himself willingly signed.
There is no wood urgency, we just have to cut down some trees and we will have all the wood we need. There is still plenty of rain forest that needs trimming back.

Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they even want to slow down all the gas pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime. "Bundesabgasbespaßungsverbot" in German. :-//(((

Chinas boss Darth Xi told all politicians that they wont do any business with underdeveloped countries that still allow CO2 emitting traffic, airplanes or combustion based industry after 2030...I am sure USA and UK also will be forced by China to 100% electric traffic because today no industrialized country can afford sanctions by China.... Lots of fun in my friends alpine,the team consisted of MGA, TR6, Fiat x1/9, and the Alpine ,,,,it’s was the best high school auto shop years….
6:20. Not sure if you're aware, but the factory heads on all Alpines were aluminum.
I thought the block looked like my 62 hillman minx lump, very very reliable engine and gearbox.

Pretty sure Harry Weslake pioneered gas-flowing and porting heads, but that was long after the little Alpine was first built.
