Hello everyone, for users of newer versions of Blender, to overcome the Tissue add-on problems, please note the following: - The add-on in the video will not work with newer versions of Blender, you will have to download the latest version from the developer on this link ( github.com/alessandro-zomparelli/tissue/tree/b280-dev ) download it as a .zip and install it - Thanks to user @Alisa Ras - The add-on will not be on the left of the layout screen but on the right, under that tab named "Tissue". - To complete the operations you need to choose "Convert to Dual Mesh" not the "Dual Mesh" option shown in the video - Thanks to user @Stephanie Cheng hope this helps, and good luck.
TY so much for this, I'd hoped to find anything similar to what Houdini can do, but really, volume is horrible ( windows 10 volume on 35 which is always enough, and youtube maxed out! ), pls try to increase on later ones, maybe you forgot to normalize ?
When I add subdivision surface and then displace/ add new/ texture selection/ image or movie and when I select clouds the shape doesn't change from sphere to abstract shape like yours! Do you know what is the issue please?

Just google "Blender Tissue Mesh" and download it from the site. The problem is that people download the wrong version from the github. There is different zip file for the 2.8 version (latest development version) if you scroll down.
i dont know if u find it how to do it... had same problem, just click it on subdivate.. and when u put ''10'' below that you have smoothness, thats should be on ''1'' not 0
your tuts are beautiful ... can i ask if i want to change the pattern the dual mesh creates- the polygon one- i guess .. to some other shape what can i do ? this will help me alot if i discovered ..thanks in advance

heads up to choose 'convert to dual mesh' on 2.8 & not 'generate' dual mesh
I am using 2.9 and can't find 'convert to dual mesh'.

hitting dual mesh either brokes my pc, or I don't get the hexagons at all (when I baked the modifiers first), I guess I need to download older Blender

I try to make the videos short and consumable. I encourage people to use the tools more on ur own. By doing that you gain understanding of the tool.
