I am from Pakistan, grew up watching both bollywood and Pakistani Pop Music which was booming in the early 2000s,bollywood did take alot of songs, which is fine, but they never credited the original artists, which is bad.Some artists filed cases too, but individuals could never win against such a big industry.
Also I still love bollywood too, I feel we're much more closer and similar than different

Your justification of theft is disappointing. Theft is th ft and there is something known as copy right. This has been shamelessly violated. Let us call a spade a spade.

Mr. Anshul Agawal. All the songs mentioned have been stolen and there is no channel between Pakistan and India for payment if the songs are to be copied. Copy is not allowed according to international conventions. Folks songs do not belong to any one so they can be sung by any one in any manner. In this case even the lyrics are stolen word by word even the names of poets are not mentioned. Regarding Pakistani legend singer Ustaad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan,see the episodes 5 or 4 where Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan hi,self talks about his songs being copied. Same is true of Bihar do Jholi Meri Yaa Muhammad a very famous Qawali by Late Sabri brothers has been shamelessly sung by Annan Sami. Son of Ghulam Farid Sabri,Late Amjad Saabri protested that even no verbal permission was sought from him. Have a heart and be gracious enough to accept the facts.
Justification of theft? Please see my earleir comment. Hundreds of thousands of indian films seen and millions of hindi film songs are heard in your homes , shops , weddings and even on award shows. Pakistan does not pay a dime for it . it is all consumed through priracy.The copyright theft by indians of pakistani content is not even the tiniest fraction of this loss caused to the indian film industry. What a strange justification for theft. The Indian movies which were screened in Pakistan were paid for and your Bollywood earned a lot of foreign exchange by this. Regarding songs, in today’s word of media explosion, all songs are being played on u tube and other media. Who told you that we are crazy for your songs?
