- NOW COMPLETE!! We all know André. And the soloists get presented at their every appearance. But who is who in the fabulous orchestra playing behind them on the stage?
The music is Bahn Frei, from the Sylvester Gala 2003 in Hannover, and practically all the pictures come from www.andrerieu.nl. With thanks to Ineke and Martine for supplying me with the last missing names.

I love this orchestra, they are all so very talented. I especially love Manoe, for she plays the bagpipes along with all the other instruments. I absolutely adore the bagpipes. I would love to learn more about this fabulous lady. Big fan.

Thank you, konarciq, for making the effort to produce this photo gallery, and as already mentioned by others, for including the late Ruud Merx, clown extraordinaire! The orchestra members are such a tightly-knit family, it's little wonder they were devastated at his untimely passing.

Inspired to see such accomplised pros! Alas, I will have found the JSO only after haven lived about 70% of my revs around the Sun, but from here on I'll probably be listening about 25% of waking hours. Very sad that the show slated for Atlanta was cancelled for good cause. Maybe a chance in 2021 for somewhere east of the Missippi.
Some time ago I asked the question how did André manage to find so many beautiful people with so much talent ? I also remember André mentioning the multiple nationalities represented by the various members of the Orchestra. Why not state the original nationality of these members? It would be proof positive that we all can really live together, work and play together, no matter from where we come and no matter what our background.
I like the idea, but unfortunately there is one problem: apart from the obvious ones, I'm not 100% sure where everyone is from. Especially telling the difference between Flemish (Belgian) and southern Dutch names is dodgy at best, even for a native Dutchman like myself. That would require verification from the people in question, or from people who know them.
Thank you for your reply. It was worth a try. The important thing that I mentioned previously, André's Orchestra is "proof positive" that we can exist or coexistence in peaceful harmony. Maybe music is the necessary ingredient to make this possible.P.S. I am sure the Maestro has the answer to my original question.

Whenever I see them, I get so busy ogling the lovely babes in their colorful, strapless gowns (Agnes Fizzano-Walter!) that I forget to listen to the music! (I've always had the impression that Agnes was the 1st violinist, although I've never seen that stated anywhere.). This was great...thanks!
LOL Love your comment! As for Agnes, yes, she really is 2nd violin. When André had the individual JSOers still listed on his website, she was listed with the 2nds, and when you watch them play, it's pretty obvious, too (that is, if you know what to look for: 1st violins generally play the melody, 2nd violins the accompaniment).

Without those talented and beautiful singers that have graced his stage with their performances its not quite complete. Great to see the instrumentalists in their entirety however. Brilliant!
I realize that, but on the other hand, they get introduced at their every appearance. So we are all well acquainted with their names. (Although I confess I'm as yet unable to tell the two Chinese girls apart...) It's very rare however that the orchestra members get introduced. And then it's still usually the same ones, like Manoe, Teun, Stéphanie, Tanja, Marcel...

This who-is-who was made for the JSO from last season, 2016-2017. As I recall, the soloists they had with them on tour that year seem to have been mostly Donij, Anna M and the Platin Tenors, with occasional sprinkles of Carmen and Mirusia. Of course I'm not even close to having seen *everything*, but I don't think I've seen Carla perform with them for several years now. A pity IMO - I love her lively comedic acts around her singing!
And yes, Mirusia has been with them since 2008 or something like that! :-D

Yes, the names added later with youtube subtitles for some reason don't always show. I'm aware of the problem, and contemplating making an updated version. :-) As it is, 00:57 is Kristy Baker; Ellie hadn't joined the JSO yet in 2017, but I agree they do look quite alike, especially in the same dress! And 1:16 is Clelia Rodriguez; Cynthia is much thinner!
@@konarciq Yes, at minute 00:57 it's Kristy Baker, not Elly Moran, they look a lot and I was wrong, I'm sorry, but at 1:16 it's Cynthia Knoch, plus at minute 00:37 it's Rick Maassen (I don't see the name) and the names of Marcel Falize's sons Dean and Colin are changed: Dean is Colin and Colin is Dean. Regarding Cynthia and Clelia you can go for example to the following website www.andrerieumovies.com/misc/ffs_fan_fotoshow_2.htm and see Clelia min 10:01 and Cynthia min. 10:17, you can also see Dean min 07:53 and Colin min. 07:56. And the other problems you mention (including the Falize boys) are fixed with those youtube subtitles that unfortunately don't always show.
