Next DLC is most likely Slaanesh, Dark elves, and High Elves to finish those three factions. Honestly I don’t think that DLC should take anywhere near as long because honestly…High Elves and Dark elves don’t need much as far as gameplay or faction mechanics. Both are A tier factions in my opinion that just need a little bit of a rework to their technology tree and a few tweaks here and there, a legendary Hero, to be functionally complete. Slaanesh would be more complex but it certainly shouldn’t and hopefully wouldn’t be another 8 months to do. As far as likely to be after that or possibly as part of a major patch…definitely Britonnia, Lizzardmen, and Norsca are on the list based on what they have said previously. Britonnia and Lizardmen could probably be fixed in a patch or two, but Norsca needs so much that I feel they need a full DLC to really get it done, possibly introducing the Kurgan or something like that. Kislev should be a patch or two because we already paid for SoC, and these changes should have been part of that DLC…and I wont budge on that point. Vampire Coast is just a lost cause to me…it’s my least favorite race, even below Demon Prince. I get zero enjoyment out of playing them and instead feel endlessly disappointed by what they are vs what they should be. If they really want to fix them, they would require a top to bottom rework including a redesign of the entire roster to stop depending on so many expendable units and needlessly expensive units that don’t perform well. The pirate coves are a dumb mechanic, the raise dead is too limited, their economy sucks, no confederation, treasure hunts that are pointless aggravation, and one of the characters must be played on mute or you will punch your screen…just a terrible race that I honestly regret buying
I don't think the next dlc will include Dark Elves, pretty sure it will be Slaanesh, Cathay and High Elves based of the imdb listings. The Dark Elves don't really need anymore dlc, they already have basically their entire roster, I'd say they are in the same boat as Lizardmen, just needing a campaign and mechanics rework between dlcs. My best guess is the dlc will be Dechala the Denied one, Sea Lord Aislinn, Yin Yin the sea dragon and the Monkey King, with one of the two Cathayan lords being the free dlc. Vampire Coast are for sure in a rough place, I think realistically they'll get a free update at some point and maybe a lord and unit or two as part of a big Nagash dlc featuring all the undead factions.
I'm expecting a "masters of undeath" DLC, with Neferata and Nagash, Tomb Kings getting a limited confederation mechanic, and the vampire coast getting a rework, + maybe a new character so sartosa can be moved where it belongs
I wish they would rework bretonnia in lore and remove all false stereotypes about dirty middle ages. Funnily this is how bretonnia were before 6th edition. They have social mobility from commoners to knights, their infantry were normal human infantry and they had foot knights, cannons and crossbowmen
A nautical focused dlc would be beneficial for a number of races. Such a dlc would also help with the fact that the ocean is fairly barren of island settlements and roaming armies (bar the exception of the coastline). S It should include: - High Elves: Prince Aislinn LL, Sea Patrol/Cothique. - Vampire Coast: Skretch Half-Dead LL. - Possibly Tomb Kings with Amanhotep as LL and a campaign focus on recovering lost artefacts outside of Nehekhara. OR Cathay with the sea dragon Yin-Yin.
I would be all for a DLC involving a sea focus that includes a few islands added to the map, and a few more ports added to eastern Cathay for Yin-Yin. It’s a giant part of the map that currently goes basically untouched most of the time. Having island chains here and there would also give players a good launching point to launch a larger invasion into the different regions while making the factions that are better suited for sea warfare a much bigger threat.
About Kislev's skill trees: look at Kostaltyn. His capstone ability is... -25% reduced cost for recruitment and +2 local recruitment capacity. Why in the world does he get this at the END of his skill tree?! At that point, most players have an army they are not recruiting anything for since it's already the best of the best.
My favorite faction is Norsca, fortunately they have aged very well in PvP as their roster is a good combination of fast and well rounded. But my God give me something campaign wise please, I beg you CA. I have access monster hunts that have not been updated since on release Warhammer 2 for crying out loud when so many cool new monsters have been added.
Whilst yes i want dark elf rework they dont need a lord id rather get a wood elf lord with slanesh and high elves then they give dark elves just a rework
Tzeentch is just starving in the corner watching Nurgle, Khorne and in the future, Slaanesh getting incredible reworks and FLC Lords while he's still stuck with two of the worst campaigns in the game. It's telling that Vilitch (A WARRIORS OF CHAOS LORD) is the best Tzeentch campaign in the game. I'm hoping Daniel gets touched up by the time the monogods are fixed but I highly doubt it, I think CA forgot about him.
>You can't eliminate corner camping CA definitely could, just swapping land battles in campaign for conquest is really easy solution, though it would make many non equal fights absolutely unwinnable
my main problem with kislev is that its central mechanic does not work. the supporter race requires a mid-game rebuild cause supporters becomes useless after the race. Boris has no role in the race but still has the mechanic, and gets no benefits from it. And mother Ostankya does not even participate. This race needs a rethink with its core mechanics. It needs either a late game use for followers for the two racers, or an alternate race system. furthermore, it needs a core race mechanic that all factions of the race can parttake in.
I think of the ones you included in this video, I would say an update for Brettonia would be the least needed. I would probably swap them with Lizardmen myself. Brettonia at least feels like it works as intended (though, I will say, I haven't played them too much lately), whereas the lizardmen need some major tech tree and building adjustments, the geomantic web should be made more impactful and interesting, and I think they could probably use some campaign movement bonuses in jungle climate.
Problem with condensing Bretonnian provinces is that Brets can't fight other brets without mega debuffs to the faction. So if a minor faction has 1 city in your province you're screwed until a confederation. The micro of vows is infinitely better than the level requirements. Both because its more interactive and because the requirements are easier. You can get grail vow at level 6 of your hero/lord
I think Slaanesh got pushed down the line because GW have started gearing up for a 40k Slaanesh release. So it was probably a marketing decision so they can be some cross promotion.
HONESTLYYYYYYY.... totally agree BUTTTTTT WH3 really needs some NEW FACTIONS instead of touching up on old ones.... you touch up on factions AFTER YOU RELEASE THEM ALL FIRST!!!! how can you balance a game if you dont have all your factions ingame yet?? u cant and its a constant struggle until everything is on the board... and as nice as seeing old factions get their YaY-day you really NEED to release them all first to properly balance and tweak them...
BY THE GODSSS IF WE COULD GET A CAMPAIGN MAP GENERATOR LIKE AGE OF WONDERS 4 FOR WARHAMMER..... ID CREAM THE COW.....errr sounded better in my head.... not like that... BUT CAMPAIGN CUSTOM MAP GENERATOR WOULD FIX THIS GAME!!!
Sorry Vampire Counts lack a lot of flavor but little in the sense of power, they just feel dated. But man Norsca and Lizardman feel dated, unfun and one-sided.
What wont happen, but what should happen in regards to vampire coast and norsca, is that they need to remove Ana from the vampire coast roster. She's easily my favorite VC leader due to having: - the best starting location, -dont have to deal with elf or lizards that are both difficult to handle for vc in the early game -can actually have diplomacy between ikit claw / orcs / vampires / vc, where as the other 3 the entire world will just declare war on you. =/ -on foot her animation makes her hard to be hit, and she is basically an infantry blender. add a net ability that she has to pin targets for your guns to shoot down, bis LL. However she simply does not fit the faction. Giving her to Norsca, and giving her a talent tree rework to fit the new race, and giving her a nerfed ship building mechanic would be a healthy move for both factions to be completely honest and unbiased as possible. Now if they did this, they would need to give VC something in return, a LL to fit the starting position of Ana, on top of what they already need.
I think it'd be interesting if she had a Tyrion-esque system where you either focused on undead (she basically gets corrupted into embracing necromancy during the vortex campaign by Stromfels) or focused on living units, playing like the pirate faction she was during Dreadfleet.
@CyrodiilCome you talk like only empire can have greatswords and halberts? And not the actual "knight" faction.. Good job but no, Empire greatswords are trash aswell so no, actual good ones worthy of the term "dismounted knights" mayby with magical damage so they can actually stand and fight against demons.. don't act like any faction has a monopoly on unit types, every faction has heavy archers, halberts and greatswords in some sort, it's not an "Empire thing"..
