Hey man nice ride you have there. Yeah I had the same thoughts about the brake levers. An easy fix I ended up doing is just to flip the breaker lever with the shifter, and that way I was able to set my levers to one finger setup. Totally fixed the problem.
Hello! Looking for advice from a Trance X2 owner…Bought this bike about a year ago in 2021 flavor, and tried the low setting on rocky/rooty undulating terrain and was getting so many pedal strikes, but was running 25% sag front 30% back. Switched to the high setting and that solved pedal strikes, but since then I’ve found the suspension to run much smoother at 15-20% front and 25% rear. What were your opinions on the high setting?? Since going to less sag, thinking about going back to low setting but don’t want to suddenly start crashing a ton from random pedal strikes…did you have any issues with this? And what sag do you run? Thanks!
Hey. I generally run 20%rear and 25% front, but I change it depending where I'm riding. If I'm doing any pedaling (xc riding) I always have it in high setting. Low setting when I'm doing uplift days in bike parks. Or downhill sections where I'm pushing back up. . Most suspension websites have a general setup section. Where you can put in your rider weight and it will give you a base setting to work from (sag% ,preload clicks, rebound clicks). Hope that helps. Cheers gav 🤙
Hey . I'm 5.10 this medium is a little to small for me. But I love the way it handles. I normally ride a large. I would recommend a medium for someone of 5.8 Cheers gav
What an amazing bike and build. Giant Trance is the best value per dollar and best performance in class.
