Jack Skellington yes, don't be deluded. The first half of the season he mostly was just pp sniper because of the heavy muscle training in the summer. Now as the season has been on for "quite" a while, his skating and especially his acceleration has improved
The Matthews-Laine draft 1-2 punch reminds me of the Ovechkin-Malkin 1-2 punch of 2004, but Laine and Matthews aren't as good as Ovechkin and Malkin tho, but they are similar players. Now only if Matthews diddn't keep getting unfortunate injuries:(.
Rusty Shackleford That's a valid point but usually it takes centers some time to break out because center is a hard position to play, like just look at schifley(sorry can't spell it) it took him time to break in and make an impact. It's hard for a young center to make a big impact much less be the best player on the team straight off the bat, taking away nothing from laine, hes an absolute beast , a franchise center is just more valuable to a franchise than a franchise winger.

pahul79 laine has more goals than Crosby and Ovechkin did as a teen ager and he won't be 20 till the playoffs.
Laine now has 13 goals in the last 9 games. That's pretty good.
