We welcome you to Aracena! This is our first video in the province of Huelva.
Aracena is the capital of the region and the one that gives its name to the mountains and the Natural Park, one of the most important protected spaces in the Community and which occupies the entire north of the province with its pastures and small elevations predominantly covered with forests of holm oaks, cork oaks, chestnut trees and scrubland, through which numerous streams flow, forming a landscape of extraordinary beauty and attractiveness, ideal for livestock farming, especially for the Iberian pig, which finds ideal conditions here.
Its town center, full of monuments and declared an Asset of Cultural Interest, is located at the foot of its old castle and the Priory Church of Our Lady of Greater Sorrow, which preserves the minaret of the mosque that preceded it. In addition to this and many other churches that make up its heritage, the most notable thing, and what it is best known for, is the Gruta de las Maravillas, one of the most interesting complexes in Spain.
