I am not a Vietnamese, but I can easily point out the following facts that prove those soldiers are 100% not Vietnamese. They are more likely Thai rebels or Khmer soldiers.
1. Look at their skin. Their skin is so dark compared to Vietnamese skin.
2. Look at their hairs. Most of them have long hairs. Vietnamese do not like long hairs.
3. Look at their uniform. It is not from any Vietnamese military uniforms.
4. Look at their berets. Vietnamese military uniforms do not include Red Berets.
5. It looks like they got support from the local Thai villagers with their wounded soldiers.
Some *Vietnamese uniforms do have red berets* in some branches of the military, but in the Soviet-Russian style, and not in the more familar American/French styles. Vietnamese special forces ("Đặc công") wear Russian-style red berets.

I believe these are members of what was called Khmer Serei who were used by Son San's KPLNF but I would point out, though Son San was at one time a member of the KR, this group fought both Vietnamese and Khmer Rouge hold outs through the late 70s on into the early 80s. They operated largely along the border with Thailand. They were supported by both Thailand and the US, though Carter cut the support off, Reagan did begin it again. They were anti-Khmer Rouge and anti-Vietnamese...they were (and the ones left) are anti-communist and Khmer nationalist.

The 5th Special Forces in 'Nam; did use ethic Chinese (though Vietnamese Nationals) & Khmers (Cambodians, to include ethnic Khmers that where also Vietnamese Nationals) as "Mike Teams". That would explain, the use of some of "Airborne" Red Berets. The Khmers were considered by most the the American personnel; that served with the 5th SF, to be the more reliable & trustworthy. These Troops, are Khmer.
