I swear goaltender stats have never meant anything, i recently played NHL 13 and saw that Freddy Anderson was actually in the game he was a free agent in year 2 or something I can’t remember, but anyway the highest he ever got was 79 overall and he won the Vezina twice went16-0 in the playoffs, won the cup another 3 times after that and even stranger he was good in actual games you would play too breakaway specialist.
Johnny you should make videos about real life hockey. Like a podcast or something. It could be once a week and a weekly recap of the NHL. We'd love your input on events and news that goes on around the league!

I've pulled off the 0-82 season once before. I started as my least favorite NHL team, named my GM "Fuck Over", traded all the talent to my favorite team to take on their salary dumps, let ANY PLAYER WITH NHL POTENTIAL WALK, signed a bunch of 40's overall scrubs with no potential in free agency, fired my coaches to pick up the worst coaches on the market at max term and salary, and made all my players play the wrong position (so left and right defensemen swapped, centers on wings and wingers switched to wrong side, etc), and gave my favorite team all of my draft picks possible in trades so that I'd have no new prospects for at least 5 years after I leave the team. Before leaving, make sure you have all 50 contracts max term with guys that have no NHL potential, and make sure you have 0 draft picks and have max buyout salary tied up too. Relocate for good measure and change the team name to something stupid... I have pulled off making the team need 10+ years to recover after I sign elsewhere, and made my favorite team perennial cup winners with all the shit I fed them LOL... If you want to make your favorite team win more, you can also sign big name free agents, flip for first round draft picks, and feed them to your favorite real life team. That way they dont have to pay the cap for big name player, but in like 5-6 years of doing this, your favorite real life team has a roster full of franchise and elite players they got with all the first round picks you fed them. It took literally 3 years of just fucking the team over with every single thing you can possibly imagine. But by the time I left the team for a new one, they had 50 contracts, most of them at 7-8 years left, every single player being in the 40's-50's overall, no cap space at all, 14 years of salary cap buyout going against them from a max term/salary buyout the year before, minimum number of required coaches at E level overall, and everyone playing the wrong position. Only time I've ever pulled off the 0-82 year!
it would save you time and aggravation to start using RT and LT to cycle through players and teams instead of backing out all the time and going back into player profiles
I agree the sim engine is broken but in defense for EA it’s not designed for someone to replace the entire NHL team to be swapped with their AHL affiliate team. I don’t think they prepared a sim where that occurs.

I have a whole japan franchise mode, im on year 20 and my first 2 years were 82-0 but now I am on a 14 year Stanley Cup win streak
