0:42 in the philippines almost all commercials are shown in all platforms available including mainstream and social media. commercials this long are "specials" which are normally done for a specific ad campaign or occasions (ie, v-day, christmas, mother;s day etc.) once a year.
Most of the commercials in the Philippines and abroad as well does the "plot twist" thing. Pulling out the right strings to make it relatable to people and you will feel immersed.
Commercials like that aren't shown on TV. The max length of TV commercial is about 30sec per brand and 10-15 or max of 20 during commercial breaks. Jollibee com series are uploaded on their FB & YT page.
We mixed Tagalog and English most of the time. Lol Paul was in the past. Her first love. There are lots of tear jerking Jollibee commercials. You're in for a ride. It's always 3 part commercials depending on occassion. Btw, regarding your questions Jollibee Commercials are everywhere social media and even in local TV stations. Jollibee is a big company and they do have budget for commercials.
😢 The choice is between a past love which the female protagonist and storyteller is having a trouble to move on versus a present love (and potentially also a future love). 😢 What a tough choice she just had, especially if the past love is really that much special, longer, cherished, and uneasy to give up and move on.
✌️😃🇵🇭 *FUN FACTS* The Philippines has two official languages: Filipino (standardized form, version, variation, language variant, or language variety, and primarily based from the Tagalog regional language), and English (specifically the dialect, variation, language variant, or language variety of Philippine or Filipino English). It also has more than 100 other, different, varied, diverse, and unique, but mostly similar and linguistically related languages and dialects, of both and mostly indigenous, native, autochtonous, regional, or local ones, and also some foreign ones. It is common in the Philippines and among Filipinos, being mostly or in majority at least a bilingual country/nation and mostly or in majority are at least bilingual people/citizens/nationals to code-switch, mix, and blend two or more languages and dialects in one phrase, clause, or sentence. There are a lot of reasons or causes for or of this, but for now I'll not get into those. There are three (3) main or major names, kinds, types, forms, versions, variations, language variants, or language varieties for the code-switching, mixing, blending of English and Filipino (and/or Tagalog), and they are called: 1. *Taglish* [tág-lish] = when the language used, plus its grammar, structure or syntax, and word order, among others, are primarily in Filipino national language and/or Tagalog regional language, but code-switched, mixed, or blended with English (or specifically Philippine or Filipino English) phrase/s, clause/s, and/or word/s. 2. *Englog* [íNG-log] = when the language used, plus its grammar, structure or syntax, and word order, among others, are primarily in the English language (or specifically in Philippine or Filipino English dialect, language variant, or language variety), but code-switched, mixed, or blended with Filipino and/or Tagalog phrase/s, clause/s, and/or word/s. 3. *Conyo English, Conyo, or Conyotic* = a particular, certain, or specific form, kind, type, variant, or variety of Taglish or Englog that uses, mixes, or blends more English phrase/s, clause/s, and/or word/s, and it usually, typically, or commonly uses the phrase "to do" or "to make" plus a verb in Filipino and/or Tagalog. It's name came from the Spanish word "c*ño", but it has nothing to do with the meaning of this word, although it maybe started to be used as an insulting/insult word, curse word, or swear word to refer, call, or describe this speech, discourse, or language, as it was and is still treated and received by the majority of Filipinos to be classist, and elitist, among others. It originated from adolescent to young adult college and university students (usually, typically, or commonly from the financially stable, well-off, to rich or wealthy middle to upper class, "high society/alta sociedad/alta sosiyedad", and/or "elite class") who attended or attends more English-speaking private (and also quite or pretty expensive to more or highly expensive) schools, international schools, colleges, and universities. *Note, Reminder, Notice, and/or Disclaimer* :These are all just based on my accumulated and limited personal and background knowledge, past to recent wide online readings and searches, and from my own personal, self-initiated, and self-oriented studies on these topics or subjects.
THAT IS TAGLISH TAGALOG AND ENGLISH ARW MIXED. It comes out naturally from the mouth of filipinos. basically spoken in Manila but In Cebu we have BISLISH bisaya ang English
The girl didn't two time Paul and Jay at the 1st place, because Paul is just a part of her past. " Choice" does not refer to whom she should choose between Paul and Jay. It's about the choice and decision whether not to love or to love again, that's why the song says ... once I've learned "To Love Again".❤
So Americans not used to "plot twist" ? Wow it's 🔥 reaction tho. It's just funny that the one with Spanish back ground is the one who didn't understand the plot twist like in "telenovelas" 😂😂 but hoping you don't fake your reaction just because some viewer's didn't like your reaction...
My childhood bestfriend died, i loved him so much, he was supposed to be the bestman on my wedding but didn't get that far. But still i couldn't imagine, if it was my bride that didn't make it! These days.. usually my family down to my grandkids, spent lots of happy bonding moments at jollibee😊.
OMG! You are so disappointing Phezz. You missed out the whole thing...you are the only one who didn't get the whole concept of UNPREDICTABILITY, TWIST and SURPRISE! You have already created your own story while watching and you got disappointed as it didn't go the way you wanted the story to be. Also about the TEARS and that it was created in ASIA?! :(
@@TheCommodity for me its rly okay, not a big deal. like, not everyone would like every single thing about videos and stuff so its completely valid! you guys just shared ur opinion and thoughts on it and i think thats really nice.
Hi guys, since you dive into commercial reactions, here's a couple of suggestions aside from Jollibee commercials. Some of these were uploaded years ago and you might have interested to check them out. 1. Manulife - Stand Up (2017) 2. Globe Ph - Star Wars Story (2016) 3. Coca-Cola - The Last Customer (2016) 4. Jollibee - Father's day Special: First Love (2019) 5. Johnson&Johnson - Your Touch Is Enough, Mom (2016) and a lot more. I will write in suggestions next time. more power and more subscribers to come ❤
Paul died 4 years ago guys.. Paul was just existed in her mind while Jay was around in the present.. You guys were talking while Paul was walking away from the girl..maybe you didn't get it that's why you're confused then.. Need to watch it again sirs.. 😆
I could smell racist tendencies on this guy phezz . It’s reflective on his choice of words when he reacts/ criticize. This can really phiss your viewers phezz. Your face is too proud! Too obvious to miss.
We have an informal language which is TAGLISH. Where you can mix some tagalog or english in a sentence. Because in this generation its better to say things in english than tagalog. Some words are better said in english anyway rather than the forgotten deep tagalog word. Foreigners can relate, just learn a little or basic tagalog then mix your language and thats it... voila TAGLISH
filipinos use TAG-LISH like normally .. we use english words together with our own language(tagalog and the local languages) ... its just how filipinos speak, we can express things much easier when we use english words ...
Nice observation guys from boys point of view. Very sad character is the chicken... they left it out.. no food on the table.. did you see it?😆 when she was choosing...
It's meant to throw you off. I guess Phezz wanted The Sixth Sense to explain in the beginning that Bruce Willis' character was already dead the whole time. That's what good storytelling is for him. J/K :) Sorry for The Sixth Sense spoiler but it's a 22-yr old movie so...
no!!!!!! They left hints throughout the movie, in fact the showed the hints that they left in the movie. You have to be able to pick them up, but if there are no hints it is no longer a twist it is just surprise! Still a great commercial.
Hi Guys . Can you please do the reaction of Jollibee Commercial " VOW (pt.1)" and "PERFECT PAIRS (pt.2) "? . I assure you , you'll enjoy it so much . Very interesting story 🤎 . I love watching your reactions guys . God Bless You Hemwee 💋🦋🤎
Obviously, the story telling was made like that to make us wonder who will she pick. The older guy clearly doesn't get the point. Funny that it was mentioned he even went to film school. Plus he was hinting it was asian that's why he felt it was terrible. Smelling some racism there. Big thumbsdown to him!
Miles: “I hate Jay”
Phezz: *talks about camera’s frame per second*
😂🤣 I’m Dead..

I love the fact that you hated Jay is funny, you got carried away. You’re a sweet guy, I hope you find your March.
It is pretty normal for us to mix english with tagalog, we call it “taglish” tagalog-english mix
Most of the commercials in the Philippines and abroad as well does the "plot twist" thing. Pulling out the right strings to make it relatable to people and you will feel immersed.
Salamat Guys for reacting to this video... GOD BLESS TO BOTH OF YOU

"TAGLISH" is what we commonly speak. TAGALOG + ENGLISH
I enjoyed your reaction so much, haha I was already smiling when you started the video and said your thoughts about it ... Thank you guys
It is called the "TWIST" of the story.

Friendzone? Then try to react VOW kwentong Jollibee 2017..
They need to do those twist with Jolibee’s commercial, otherwise it’s just another commercial.
So Americans not used to "plot twist" ? Wow it's 🔥 reaction tho. It's just funny that the one with Spanish back ground is the one who didn't understand the plot twist like in "telenovelas" 😂😂 but hoping you don't fake your reaction just because some viewer's didn't like your reaction...

the twist part of the story makes this even better.
Haha you guys spoke too soon and judged the woman in this commercial 😂✌️
I like your genuine reactions!
That's the essence of our commercials..
That is the strategy of Jollibee, sirs! To let you go at Jollibee and eat all of your disappointments from his Commercials!!! Haha!
OMG! You are so disappointing Phezz. You missed out the whole thing...you are the only one who didn't get the whole concept of UNPREDICTABILITY, TWIST and SURPRISE! Plot twist. Lol. If you watch more of these, the endings are really unexpected.
We admire you both! More power to your TH-cam channel! So much love from the Philippines!
I could smell racist tendencies on this guy phezz . It’s reflective on his choice of words when he reacts/ criticize. This can really phiss your viewers phezz. Your face is too proud! Too obvious to miss.
He admitted that he's racist. And it's obvious on his face.
It's funny how you dissected everything and end up being both wrong at the end. 😂
