What a fascinating interview. Hilarious tale about winning the car and paying tax on it😂 Saw O'Donnell in the flesh on day 3 of the Old Trafford test in '85. Also saw him at Ramsbottom CC in the Lancashire League when he was professional for Haslingden in 1989.
Simon O'Donnell played 6 test matches. He averaged under 30 with the bat and the handful of wickets he took cost him 84 a piece. If this man is a legend, then the currency is being debased !
He won international cricketer of year, for the Australian summer in 1991, without playing a test match. He simultaneously held the record for the fastest ODI 50 (18 Balls) & Australia’s leading ODI wicket taker. He also holds the record for the biggest 6 ever hit at the MCG.

Member of Australia's 1st ever ODI World Cup winning team, that's to be respected.
@@chemistryset1 And played his guts out knowing he was battling cancer at the time. You can't understand some people.
He's a legend to anyone who watched him at his best at ODI level.
