Thanks to Laurie Anderson I discovered that trees are made of... wood. But not entirely. There are some leaves, needles, sap, acorns, seeds and some other things too.
Strange! The original was released as a 33 RPM EP. I guess they did not want to cramp 8 minutes + on a single side at 45 RPM. Now this reissue is a 45! How surprising! Still a great song. Great overall performance audio + video combined, simple and efficient. Makes me think how the Brits are nicely crazy to push this single to #1 on the charts. They helped Laurie giving her a wider audience, the rest is history.

Laurie Andersons recently released Album 'Big Science' was on the rotation and I went to sleep with 'O Superman' as my Lullaby many nights that year. A habit I maintained by purchasing my own copy of the Album. Which is of the Highest Quality throughout. My opinion of Lou Reed went through the roof when I found out they were married. Y'know; if he's good enough for Laurie...sort of situation. I digress.lol.

this song gets me every time when the lower bass enters the room... that melody is simple and so mesmerizing to me.
