Hey Pure Octane Garage - We are loving all of the buzz on our Hybrid Solutions Ceramic products! Streaks are extremely frustrating, so we are here to help. In the case of our Hybrid Solutions products, we recommend only 1-2 sprays per panel, even with our 3-in-1 Detailer. Less is more! This product is not your average detailer, it offers both the traditional detailer benefits, as well as a ceramic wax. We hope this is helpful and feel free to reach out with any further questions!
@@PureOctaneGarage . I had no problem when I did mine. I would suggest to try not to let it drip and rundown the car I always spray a little at a time with my towel underneath sow it wouldnt run down. I also used a waterless wash towel I grabbed out of walmart and it works great.
@@PureOctaneGarage may i also point out that in the world of 16-20 oz. sprays the TW 3-1 Hybrid Detailer is a whopping 32 oz.! Use as directed (sparingly!) and you've got a bargain. Stuff is dope. ❤
In that case though it wouldn’t be a good waterless wash… 1-2 sprays isn’t enough to encapsulate all dirt on 1 panel, which will rub dirt into the paint. Either fix the streaking or remove the “waterless wash.”
Please! I am confused I do not know in which cases you are using a detailer. For example I bought a TW 3 IN 1 DETAILER Here in the UK last week I have already wax my car 1 month ago and I have top up with turtle wax flex wax. When and how often I need to use a detailer? What is a difference with a detailer vs sealant or versus TW flex wax for example? Can you help me to comprehend that? Please?
Been using most of the product line. Have not seen clouds or streams when used correctly. For the detail-er, shake bottle well, mist the area, wipe with clean MF towel, buff with clean side or another dry towel. My car is not black, which does show the most issues for any product. My question is, did you closely examine the paint before using the product, because I did not see any close-up before shots to insure nothing was already sealed in by a previous protective coating or left by a soap? This spray picks up loose dirt and bug guts that have only recently been acquired. It is not necessarily a water free car wash product, though when used as directed can delay the need for a complete wash.
What I have done to prevent the streaking is instead of spraying the panel from the bottle I spray the microfiber and then apply the product to the panel!
That's exactly what I do with Seal and Shine from Turtle Wax. Never ever had streaking. With all these products make sure you keep shaking the bottle as you are applying. So the sealant and wax don't separate.
I spray it to a microfiber towel instead of spraying on the car directly and get no streaks. Wipe with a clean microfiber towel. Been using it for two months every week. The gloss is Amazing!
A little streaky and haze after using on clean glass...Didn’t get the same result on the paint, but if I did just buff it off with another towel. Definitely not a big deal. The gloss is actually really nice, and feels very slick to the touch.
i have a dark grey VW and just did the whole car in full sunlight and did not get a single streak... It works well on the plastic trim also.... give the bottle a better shake before you start and dont put so much on
That’s good to hear! We usually try to be pretty good about shaking things up. Might have to give this one a little extra! Thanks for the tip and watching!
Glad to know there are good results out there. I think we might have to grab a new bottle and test this again....see if there is improvement in the formula. Thanks for watching!
May i suggest....keep shaking bottle to keep contents mixed, apply NOT direct to panels....but one spray to a good microfiber towel, then apply. I have had no streaking on 2 black cars, one dark blue grey car, one pearl white paint SUV. I do agree, a detailer SHOULD give u the option of spraying on panels vs on microfiber towels and not streak. If Turtle Wax does respond to our concerns on this product streaking, pls post a followup video. Nice job guys!
Hello David! Great tips for the 3in 1 detailer. We will give them a try. We will definitely post a follow up if we hear or see any additional info from Turtle Wax. We appreciate your watching and support of the channel!

I quick once-over with a very light mist of distilled h2o and a separate fluffy buff will not only eradicate any streaking but will REALLY make the finish POP. I found this system applies to the Hybrid Ceramic Polish/spray wax and detailer (as well as) Seal & Shine. Additionally, i find that higher New England humidity can enhance any streakiness. That being said, well worth the extra couple of minutes to damp wipe AND generally find all these products eventually even-out and settle with a little cure time. Damn... these products give just superior results. TW products imho tend to be concentrated and last on the finish. Easy on-easy off sometimes is not so long lasting...
Excellent tips for the Hybrid Solutions line! Thank you. We agree, after having some more time with these products and seeing how well they hold up; that is well worth the minimal extra effort. Thanks for checking out our channel!
Great question. Yes, you can use Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic 3in1 Detailer as a maintenance topper for your ceramic coating. Perfect for that! Thank you for checking out the video!

Gents, I have used the TW 3 in 1 detailer, & I have had no streaking problem. It has worked great for me with no problem. The only thing I would suggest to Turtle Wax, is to develop a "Rinseless Wash" or an addition to this product. I current use ONR as my weekly maintenance washes, because it's cost effective. I can get about 10 washes out of a gallon of ONR @ 256:1. Thank you for your videos...
You’re welcome for the videos! We have heard many great things about ONR. We need to give it a try! Glad to hear the Turtle Wax Ceramic Detailer is working for you. Thanks for checking out our videos!
Good demo here gents, I will agree with you that this is a significantly heavy spray detailer and I've seen the streaking issues with regular use, both with light sprays and heavy sprays. As you guys showed, this is remedied by the damp microfiber towel wipedown, but that's not something that I would prefer to pull out to give the paint an extra wipedown when using this as a typical spray detailer. So in the case of maybe using this as a basic detailer once the paint is cleaned, there's no way I would choose this over Ceramic Wet Wax even as a drying aid. In the case of using this as a waterless wash, you've got to maintain good coverage when using waterless washes to prevent dry wiping and scratching, this means spraying more on the paint than would be used if the paint was already cleaned, and all that spraying is sending overspray across the rest of the car that partially or fully dries and can further lead to streaking in those areas once wiped. So not my favorite product in the Hybrid Solutions lineup because of these reasons, exactly as you guys show. One thing is for sure, Turtle Wax definitely isn't overly watering down their products and this detailer is a testament to that. I haven't tried diluting this further to see if it helps, that should be next on the list for me. The protection left behind is probably significant given how heavy this product is. But balancing the amount of the protective components and concentrated polymers that allow for safer waterless washing in this case, it isn't as fined tuned to mitigate the tendency of this product to streak on users. The good thing is the streaking is easily resolved with that damp microfiber wiping, which goes along with the Ceramic Polish & Wax, there is no way I could be using these two without that quick damp microfiber wipedown. But the spray detailer is the product in the lineup that I can't sacrifice wipeability for, otherwise another product that doesn't streak is getting selected for the job.
WaxMode...Thank you for the excellent and thorough comment. We are glad /not glad to hear that you are having a similar experience with the 3in1 Ceramic detailer form the Hybrid Solutions line. We had better luck with the Ceramic Wet Wax as well. Love your videos and thanks for stopping by!
@@Raptors0524 Meguiar’s Hybrid Ceramic Detailer is one of my favorites. But HCD isn’t a waterless wash spray like this Hybrid Solutions Ceramic 3in1 Detailer. I use Meguiar’s HCD as I would a spray wax or spray maintenance topper, and would choose it greatly over this Hybrid Solutions because it’s much less likely to streak like this, and showcases much tighter and stronger water beading behavior.
I used the product on my gray SUV and have streaks. I thought I applied it wrong even though I followed the directions. After watching your review, I know it wasn’t me.
You are right, it’s not you! Very streaky, but applying directly to the microfiber and then wiping the panel really helps out. As far as gloss, protection, and waterless wash ability... this product is impressive! Thank you for watching!
I've been using this product now for 2 months nearly daily. I have YET to have any streaking. I apply a good amount of spray and use my microfiber towels. Never had issues. Not sure why you do.
Hi Lee. Glad to hear that it is working well for you. This is the one product that we have used that gets mixed results from many users. Might be time to break it back out and try it on another surface. Thanks for sharing and watching!
Used this product on my black tundra. Noticed the streaking like you mentioned, but wanted to add something. I did my best to knock down the streaking by using a microfiber towel afterwards. Still wasn’t perfect but I called it good and went inside. Got ready to go on a trip across town and came back out in about an hour later to get into my truck. Noticed that the streaking was significantly less after it had time to cure and sit in the sun. Just wanted to share my experience and see if maybe anyone else had a similar one.
Thank you for watching, and for your reply. After using the product more, we noticed the same thing on our test hood, given a bit of time the streaking did dissipate. :)
A damp cloth will correct the issues, just a pain to have to add a second step that we don't need to with other products. Thanks for the tip and watching!
Best way to stop the streaking is to paint your truck white:) One of the pitfalls of owning a black vehicle is the extra effort to keep it clean. Most work I have done on keeping a car clean was my black Acura CL. My current car is white and I never seen the streaks using this product. One caveat is I applied it indoors while my car is nice and cool. I realize Turtle Wax states that it can be used outside with the sun but to me that is just adding another unnecessary element. The reason I like this product is it seems to attract less dust than the other detailer spray like Bead Maker, Adams, and Carpro Elixir. And I am a Carpro fan. My car is ceramic coated in CQuartz pro.
Totally agree on the effort needed to keep black vehicles looking good. We are with you also on always applying products in the cooler shade, applying in the sun is always a test of fate that rarely works. Thanks for watching
my tip would be always flick out your towels loosens the fibers up and i always lay with one towel and buff with clean dry cloth after also i add a spray or two to the lay towel, damp micro cloths wick moisture much better than dry. works the same as the spray coating.
Thanks for the tip. We’ll keep trying and hopefully get better results, but it’s so strange we don’t get this behavior with most other quick detailers.
Welcome to our club here. This is one product that gives people fits or works perfect for others. We have yet to pin down the common denominator that is causing the undesirable results. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the tip Mitch! We definitely used that technique on the Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating and it does work very well. We are really enjoying these Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions products! Thank you for watching!
@@meanf1502 I can certainly relate to what u r saying. All according to what u expect and end-results. I suppose if I really want an e-z p-z detailer the TW ICE Detailer is the ticket. That being said, the Hybrid-Ceramic Detailer's results are imho stunning. So...as with most TW products - elbow-grease required. And, again, that being said, stand back and take a look at that.
That's interesting. Our bottle has only one "Don't Use" direction, and that is on convertible tops. Very interested to see if they changed this. Thanks for the heads up and also for checking out our channel!
Pure Octane Garage I copied this from the Turtle Wax website: (Turtlewax.com, hybrid solutions 3 in 1 ceramic detailed). STEP 1 Do not use on hot surfaces or in direct sunlight. Shake well. Work on one panel at a time. You guys had a great website.
TW IS AWESOME! I'M SO GLAD I WATCH TW THEMSELVES EXPLAINING LESS IS MORE! Hard Scrubbing will cause streaks. So glad you didn't do that with the Adams! 🤣 You guys are smart!!!
Guys these new products are not traditional detailers, they are morel like a hybrid mix of polymers, cleaning agents, gloss enhancers, a tiny bit of SiO2 etc. They often dont flash instantly and are a bit richer in the mix. So comparing it to eg Adams detail spray is a bit like comparing apples to pears, both fruits but... I can mention 2 products that are the same Sonax BSD (marketed as a QD but is more of a cleaning polymer sealant and Angelwax Enigma QED which is SiO2 infused just like this one. You cannot use them as You would a trad. QD like Adams. Here are some tips: Use a "grabbier" MF towel, the high GSM, plush polish ones dont agitate and scope up enough poduct. Also using a damp MF for application and a dry one to buff is good. Finally, with rich products like this LESS IS MORE!! So nr 1 advice is NEVER spray any product directly on the panel (for many reasons) always spray the product into the MF and then apply, then buff with clean MF to perfection. You are having the same experience with this product as many many others had with i.e. Sonax BSD back in the day...before everyone learned how it worked and started to use it right. In conclusion, if You use this as a QD, spray in MF, buff with clean one, no prob. If You use to clean some light dirt or dust, eg. spraying quite a lot on the panel, use the proper kind of MF, meaning a grabbier one that scopes up dirt and excess product from the surface. (I rec waffled ones same that are used for glass, dont use polishing towels, eg super plush ones, they just smear and this is what is happening to You now)
Thank you for the great information, much appreciated, great explanation. If only Turtle Wax would explain it like you have, much of the product use confusion could be eliminated. Thank you for watching. Our use of the Turtle Wax products is based on the information they provide, and that information is not as thorough as it could be, it can be a bit confusing , example, Tuttle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic 3 in 1 Detailer, has detailer in the name, but works differently than a basic detailer, it can be used as a waterless wash, where it says to soak the panel, to encapsulate the dirt, but if you do use it as a detailer, as you said, less is more. It would be helpful for TW to provide better information on how to use the product for each situation. We like the Turtle Wax products, and have no doubt that they will provide good protection, it really comes down to TW providing better information about their products and the best way to use them. We’ve learned more from comments like yours than the info provided by TW. Thanks again.
Adams is a great detail spray. It smells great and makes the car look great without streaking. The only problem is it doesn't give you any long lasting protection like Turtlewax products do. I never used turtlewax detail sprayer but have used their other products which ALL streak. If you're using Flex wax I get around this problem by spraying a car panel one time with water and the one spray of Flex Wax. I spread this out and flip the towel to the dry side and finish with a second dry towel. No streaking and the results are beautiful. I wait 24 hours and apply a second coat for added protection. For a detailer that adds great protection I maintain with Griots Speed Shine or Technicians Choice tec584 G-MAXX GRAPHENE SPRAY. Both are great detailers that leave no streaking and add plenty of protection with plenty of gloss and shine.
Looks like TW needs to go back to the laboratory with this one. I never realized how soft most car surfaces are until I started detailing. Rinse less wash products and detail sprays used on even slightly dirty surfaces will mar the paint. Many detailing sprays require to much wiping to remove. One comment said to use a damp micro fiber to remove streaking, just one more time the paint takes a hit. My point is once I get the paint corrected and sealed I try to lessen any contact if I can... especially with black paint
We 100% agree with less contact on the paint using any form of towels. It's still hard for us to wrap our heads around waterless/rinseless washing an entire vehicle. Thanks for watching!

The streaks were a little hard to see on camera, but I've definitely been there before. The first detail spray I used that produced streaking was Kenotek Showroom Shine. Just didn't work for me. I know there are a lot of detail sprays out there, but my go-to is Griot's Garage Speed Shine. Works great.
We have run into streaks with almost all spray ceramic products that contain wax. Not sure if that is the culprit here. We appreciate you checking us out!
I have the same results with the three in one , streaks no matter how I apply, it’s as hard as waxing if I have to go around with a wet micro fiber and then rebuff . Waste of money in my opinion.

I always wait and cure every TW product I apply to my car. If I notice streaks, a damp microfiber towel takes care of it.
I’ve seen other people say you have to use a damp cloth if you see streaking. That’s all I got guys.
Ah, so it's not just me then. It seemed impossible to get rid of the streaks on my glass I noticed.
Welcome to our club here. This is one product that gives people fits or works perfect for others. We have yet to pin down the common denominator that is causing the undesirable results. Thanks for watching!
Same problem with my car which is silver by the way. Tons of streak with whatever gsm my towel has.
To remove streaking, wet a towel lightly with water and wipe. Streaks gone. This is an Excellent product.
Thanks for the tip Mitch! We definitely used that technique on the Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating and it does work very well. We are really enjoying these Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions products! Thank you for watching!
You shouldn't have to have a damp towel for this one only the black ceramic one not this 3 an 1 not a fan of this one the black hybrid I am
The directions on my bottle say not to use in direct sunlight or hot surface.
STEP 1
Do not use on hot surfaces or in direct sunlight. Shake well. Work on one panel at a time. You guys had a great website.
Used as instructed this weekend on my black Alfa had to re wax it to get the streaks out very disappointed
TW IS AWESOME! I'M SO GLAD I WATCH TW THEMSELVES EXPLAINING LESS IS MORE! Hard Scrubbing will cause streaks. So glad you didn't do that with the Adams! 🤣 You guys are smart!!!
👍
So this guys are the competition towards turtle wax !!! With the other products...🤔💭
Hi Jose. Not sure which products from competitors you are referring to.
Here are some tips:
Use a "grabbier" MF towel, the high GSM, plush polish ones dont agitate and scope up enough poduct.
@@PureOctaneGarage Thanks guys for the kind words. And no problem we are all a bunch of enthusiasts that love this and help eachother.
Glad TW hybrid came to our region but thanks for the review and the comments contributed TW kicked it up a notch this time!!
You’re welcome! We love reviewing detailing products and sharing our results. They did step up and give us all a great lineup. Thanks for watching!
My didnt streak. Mine worked perfect.
That is great. Glad to hear it is working for you. We have noticed reviews on both sides of this one. Appreciate the feedback. Thanks for watching!
Just use F-11 bruh! You can scrub wash your car with just water and an old sponge, it *will not scratch* with that miracle on there..😁😁
fyi watching this *is* physically painful.. 👇

Wow like a mirror.
Right! These products do an excellent job of the adding the gloss! Thank you for watching!
I buff it off with a separate clean cloth and doesn't streak🤷🏻♂️
Thant's great to hear it working well. This is the one product that we hear mixed results on. Crazy! Thank you for watching!
I wish I could’ve been there when these 2 guys first met or at least like a video that someone recorded of the moment lol😂😂. Who would’ve knew that day that they would be friends for life haha.
Best video yet. Adam’s Detail Spray is one if the best. I’ve bought a lot of his products because of how good the detail spray is.
Thank you for the kind words! We do have a bit of an obsession with Adam's products. Agree with you that their products are very good. Thank you for watching!
Griot's makes great products. We will be reviewing one of their products soon. Stay tuned and thanks for watching!
@@PureOctaneGarage Looking forward to it!
Gotta agree. Streaks everywhere.
It does end up giving great results, but we agree with you...Too much work when there are other similar products out there that don't require the extra step! Thanks for watching!
Apply with a damp microfibre
Great tip! Thank you!
Ryan" ceramic is everywhere".yea, ceramic toilet paper, doesnt take any crap. I lke the ethos detailer and the ttw ice detailer is ok.you dont want to have to work that kind of product to hard.scratching potential. Good job again ladies.
Thanks Keith!
@@PureOctaneGarage unfortunately,if and when i get back out to Az ...it probably wont be for a nice tan.the old mans 91...still kickin around ok,God bless him.guess what ,hes one of the few old farts out there that doesnt own a street golf cart.😂
You should’ve put the Adams on a different place. Not over the top of Turtle Wax.
Maguires ultimate Quick detailer . New formula .... its way better than TW 3/1 Quick detail spray
I got this product and i used it as a waterless wash so I have to use more product and it streaks like crazy. It was a pain to remove all this streaks. Never buy again
Bummer that you had streaks too. This product has us really confused! We need to try out the tip from another comment that stated, "Better when sprayed directly on the towel rather than the vehicle." Thanks for watching!
The waterless wash and wax in yellow bottle is alot better product and cheaper.
Bruce Banner is that you?
The detailing Ruffalo brother😉
You have to wax in, wax out dude !
Wax in, Wax Out. Will say it every time now! 🤣 Thanks for watching!
problem is that you shook the bottle weaker than an infant could. get a new bottle and shake the bottle like at least a girl. 😆
Ur mom
@@nouistaken3719 😆
Ok, this made us laugh. Went back and watched...you are right, that was pretty weak!!! At least we shake them quite a bit prior to shooting, but no way for you to know that! Thanks for watching!
Amazing and thorough review! #GREATNESS
Thank you!
You are using the product the wrong way
Hi Derek. We are open to suggestions for alternate uses. Less product?, More product?, Application towel?. We followed what was printed on the label. Appreciate any advise.
Nothing was shown to show that the truck was without spotting and streaking prior to using the product
Sorry to say but your spraying too much on
We tried both the suggested spray amounts and then a very heavy spray too see if different variables changed the outcome. From our research it seems as this product can be a bit finicky for others too.
Thanks for watching!
Wow what a comparison one product in full sun and hot black paint Vs. Cool paint in the garage . Thumbs down 👎 guys
Thanks for watching! One note, the paint was not hot. The weather outside at filming was overcast and about 60 degrees.
