The wheel squeal noise isnt right. Very digital contrived sound and not like the real squeal of a locomotive. I've also found the guy that promotes these at York show a bit standoffish when I inquire about analogue only. But I agree it is a superbly detailed model.
I do agree about the sound. But it does seem a shame to buy one of these for analogue when there are so many other features for DCC. The sound may well be improved by future upgrades (I assume? I'm no expert). As I'm content with analogue I won't be buying one of these, my imagination can add sound effects, and even with DCC the smell and the blue exhaust are absent!
I love the class 24s there one of my many favourite British diesels, hope to find one for my collection very soon
They really are superb models!
Blimey, that's got some detail, especially the area around the buffers 😀
I have two Sutton’s 24s! I love em. Best rtr 00 loco by far.... especially when fitted with full DCC sound!
Stunning - the even newer 25 is on my bucket list (after my new 37 from AS).
The hog snort is just right. I think I remember more of a ting-tonk in the idling sound
Damn that's a gorgeous model, shame SLW don't do a current day preserved variant.
