The story goes that elmo oscar cookie monster and mr snufflepagus getting corrupted and zoe tries to free elmo but fails and gets pierced and probably got corrupted and bert and ernie dodges the grab but big bird gets grabbed and he was stuck so he hold elmo cookie monster and oscar but oscar goes to corrupt bert and ernie and cookie monster goes with oscar to corrupt them so no survivers will be alive and they succeed and big bird slowly gets corrupted and there was no survivers and only kermit the frog is still alive (or im just misunderstanding and kermit might be from a another world or smth)

The Devs have stated that Bert and Ernie survive as they are going to be used in later songs also oscar is discarded as the darkness finds oscar to be useless and while yes cookie monster does leave to go find survivors he doesn't go for Bert and Ernie

actually the new one just shows whos singing

No, the devs said the mod engine couldn't support any cutscenes so you only hear sounds but not see the cutscenes (i like the tankman reference though)
