y tf do u want people want braces they will destroy ur mouth. the same pain from the first time u put ur braces on comes on when u tighten ur braces every 2-4 weeks depending on ur orthodontist and bands will make u feel like ur living in hell.
I am an Ortho assistant in Alaska and I am so excited to see what you are coming up with for a new technique for bonding! We do direct bonding, I’ve never done or seen indirect bonding, and I think it is so cool!
if you're just getting braces and are upset about it, just remember that you are very lucky to have such treatment available and to be able to afford it. braces r expensive and if you don't live in the developed world you are stuck with bad teeth, so count your blessings

for anyone who’s about to get braces, i promise it doesn’t hurt much. the initial application of the braces doesn’t hurt at all, but it may hurt for 4-7 days afterwards. after that, every time you get them tightened, it only hurts for maybe 2 or 3 days, and it’s not so bad. it honestly just depends on the person and why you need braces! edit: approach the replies with caution. this is your warning
True I thought they were gonna inject some Anastasia into our gums and then do the procedure, it looks quite easy, I have to get braces after a whole so.....now I am confident.
I have a strong respect for orthodontists. I have had really wonky teeth for most of my life and within two months (you have them on for two years usually) my teeth are already straight compared to before, they're almost perfect and it took barely any time at all.
All I remember from getting my braces on was staring into that stupid bright light for like an hour and almost crying not even from the braces just the light
As a person who had braces on for 5 years, I can say Braces aren’t actually that painful, the more you have them the more you get used to it and it doesn’t really hurt. At first yes it would hurt but sooner you will eventually don’t think it’s that painful. Although I can’t really eat much specific food since it’s a hassle to remove them when it gets stuck in your wife’s and braces. But now that they’re finally off and I have my retainers HALLIJUEAH I can finally eat food that I couldn’t
I’m getting braces tomorrow and I have severe anxiety and have been very worried about it. Although after watching this video I’m a lot calmer and ready to get them, so thank you soooo much
When I first got my braces they sucked out ALL of the moisture in my mouth and I was just sitting there with my mouth feeling like the Sahara dessert and I didn’t want to swallow bc they said keep it as dry as you can so I was just sitting there trying not to die 💃
I couldnt even swallow when they were putting it on because of the tongue guard and when I tried to swallow the suction called Nola would push against my bottom palate gums and it hurts...
This just gives me more and more confidence to get my braces because I’m getting them tomorrow and I’m terrified but these make me feel more comfortable and know that it’s not bad
When I go the dentist they ask questions and when I try to talk they say “keep you mouth all the way open or I’ll mess up now please answer the question..”HOW DO I TALK WITHOUT MOVING MY MOUTH HUH
Be careful with the wire sticking out in the back! When i first got mine, it would get caught in my gums and now there is a scar :/... BUT, there is nothing to be afraid of at all just letting ya know :)

You'll be fine! The brackets and wire don't hurt too bad, however bite ramps, or turbos kind of do if I'm being completely honest. All in all it should only hurt for about a week. You'll be back to 100% in about 2 weeks.

When I got my braces I never got those toobs in my mouth and the dentist was like, “you got a lot of saliva are you hungry” and I was like well I’m sitting in a chair leaning back for a hour with my mouth open and I’m scared to swollow because what if I swollow somthing I’m not supost to.
Don’t be nervous! It will be sore and maybe a bit painful after but it will fix your teeth so you will have a perfect smile! And look even more beautiful/handsome. Good luck!!! You’ll have a colourful mouth☺️

Honestly I'm happy I watched this because this explains what was happen while I stared at my dentist's upside-down nose lol I just got them today and honestly the most painful part so far is the thing that keeps your mouth open and the one that holds your tongue I'm hoping I'm blessed enough to avoid the braces pain but I shall see in a few hours
@@alliebelle2790 they don't hurt at all, my teeth are complicated though so the chains they put hurt the first half of the day then after that the pain is gone, pretty tolerable (High pain tolerance so idk about other people, that's just for me!)
My braces come off this month... I got them on through the traditional direct bonding I had them for 1 year and 5 months (which honestly was surprising) The doctor said that since I wore my bands regularly, it was a smooth process My timing to get them was somehow incredible cause I got them right before the pandemic started.... so my braces journey has been during all this and no one really got to see them in my mouth lol... I also found braces to be surprisingly comfortable and pain-free (maybe cause I wanted to get them and was mentally prepared)
I like the indirect bonding bc it takes less time and u will have more time your day and this vid really helped because I never got to see what it actually looks like putting on braces
I just got to know by my aunt who's a dentist told me that I'll get braces and I'm excited just because of the bentist! She said that I should meet my orthodontist soon but I hope he's the bentist 😂

When I got my braces off dried glue was flying everywhere when they were taking it off, it got on my clothes and coated my mouth.

@@alliebelle2790 they don't hurt at all, my teeth are complicated though so the chains they put hurt the first half of the day then after that the pain is gone, pretty tolerable
(High pain tolerance so idk about other people, that's just for me!)
@@alliebelle2790 yup they dont hurt they are just really uncomfortable. And its kinda hard to eat with an expander but its okay
My braces come off this month...
I got them on through the traditional direct bonding
I had them for 1 year and 5 months (which honestly was surprising)
The doctor said that since I wore my bands regularly, it was a smooth process
My timing to get them was somehow incredible cause I got them right before the pandemic started.... so my braces journey has been during all this and no one really got to see them in my mouth lol... I also found braces to be surprisingly comfortable and pain-free (maybe cause I wanted to get them and was mentally prepared)
I have braces and got them a year ago and now I'm watching this...and i think mine was indirect bonding :> thanks doc for letting me now what it is!

I just got to know by my aunt who's a dentist told me that I'll get braces and I'm excited just because of the bentist! She said that I should meet my orthodontist soon but I hope he's the bentist 😂
