Hands down THE best boot review ever. This is the information we want to know about products, not just regurgitating the manufacturers brochure. Great job, thank you
Thank you for your comment Barram. We did get great feedback from this video as we were not trying to push any brand... just giving honest real life feedback. We do have this type of video for all aspects of gear on the "To Do List" and I have moved your two requests to the top of that list. Thanks for watching. - Kyle
Narrow foot bed here and the Sidi work great for me. TBH I haven’t tried any of the others. My wife has a wide foot bed because of a jacked up little Toe and has SG10, and she loves them. I usually wear an Asolo in hiking boots size 12. Bought a 12.5 in the Sidi and perfect fit. I like both buckle system and it’s hard to pick. I think the gaerna feels a little more solid then my Sidi but I’ve had no issues with either. All of them look like your getting high end gear.
Just landed a jump where that lockout support would've saved me from a sprained ankle and multiple missed races! I was wearing some old sidi touring boots (which I love) so its my own fault, but now I'm in the market for something thats made for enduro style riding :-) Doesnt seem like there is a bad option out there.
Oh man! Sorry to hear of your sprain! Any of these PRO boots will serve you well. They are designed to manage energy and to prevent injury's to supercross / motocross top athletes. They are the best of the best. -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team
I have worn Forma boots. They are great boots for the price point. I did find the finish of the boots to be a little bit less than some of these in this review. Personal observations having owned two pair of Forma boots. - Kyle Thanks for watching and thanks for commenting!
Thank you for this informative video. I recently had the desire to get back into riding and was looking for new gear, this video definitely helped me choose! Awesome video!
A* Always runs bigger for me in every class, Street and off road. TCX have been true to size for me but I only use them for on road US 13 and 47 are. Time for some Enduro boots. I use a foldable cane to walk so stability is key.
You are suppose to move your break foot inward that's why fox made the boot that way, , you don't want your foot right on top .. Lots of reasons why? Indo, break checking yourself, or breaking your foot, you want your foot inward not sticking out. Keep your toes in.
Thanks for watching Dan. There are so many reviews with bullet points, but nothing out there with "how they feel" out of the box and especially one compared to another. It was fun... Stay tuned, more like this coming your way in ALL riding gear! - Kyle & the Chap Moto Team
I have ran crossfire 2 srs and currently own crossfire 3 srs, I tried tech 7 before but didn't like the feel, I have been interested in tbe tech 10s but sole replacement seems an issue in my opinion Great review Do more mx boots comparison reviews!!!
Whaouh ! I'm french customer, and I've never seen a really good test like yours ! I've larger feet, and my future boots will be SG12. That's confirm Gaerne boot is larger than the other. Thx for your really great test ! Continue to make test with this quality.
Thank you for your feedback. We were unsure how the vibe from this video would turn out... as a "shop" we did not "sell you on any feature or benefit" but as a consumer I really wanted to give you an "idea of how they fit and feel" without ANY sales BS... Just my impressions. This video has been a hit... and we have many more in the pipeline. What would you like to see next up? Thanks for watching! - Kyle
They all accommodate knee braces well. I personally prefer the Tech 7 over the Fox Instinct. It is a little more comfortable for me and I can more easily reach the controls in the Tech 7. -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team
Hi, some people may spend more time walking in them, or they are harsher on the soles/pegs and like having the ability to have the soles replaced. Thanks for watching.
Thank you Da Mar Po. All of the review videos discuss features and benefits... but we do get So Many Questions about FIT and width... and general feel that we thought this type of video might be beneficial. Thank you for your feedback. - Kyle & the Chap Moto Team
Sorry to hear of your broken toe! Having ridden in both the SG12 and the Tech 10, I prefer the SG12 personally but you can not go wrong with either. Toe protection seems similar ... but the welt style sole on the SG12 has more space between the tip of your toe and the ground. -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team
Great video. I had a pair of SG12's. The padding around the ankle was too tight for me. Actually bruised my ankle. Otherwise, a super comfortable boot.

Thanks King Kire. That was the goal... Information not sales... Glad you liked it. What else would you like to see be done in this format? - Kyle
Chaparral Motorsports ha, everything! That was awesome.
Well, this is the most helpful review format ever. Kudos!
Wow, thanks! Glad you found it helpful. Thanks for watching.
This is just a type of review all we want. Direct comparison, honest thoughts, pros and cons. Now please do it on Helmets and Knee braces.

Nice review, but after 30 years & $$$$ in boot money , Forma boots are half the price with all the top notch features..Forma customer for life !

Best boot review yet
Thanks
Are those green/black boots on the wall available, in 11?
SiDi X3...
I am not seeing the green version on the site... I will check the shelf later today for you Peter. Thanks for watching. -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team

What about the weight of each pair
Great question... We will weight them in an upcoming video. Note: They all feel like cement boots ;)
To be fair to Sidi, this test should include Sidi Crossfrire 3 non-SRS. soul to do best compaire to Gaerne.
Thanks, we'll take that into considerations for next time.

Which pair accommodates knee braces the best? Years back I had Tech 8’s and was thinking tech sevens but torn between those and the fox instinct

Chaparral Motorsports awesome thank you for replying!! 👍
I dont know why they do SRS, ... a have a 4 years Sidi pair and the sole is still perfect almost and they are so sensitive to pegs and controle.
Hi, some people may spend more time walking in them, or they are harsher on the soles/pegs and like having the ability to have the soles replaced. Thanks for watching.
Good info and good job comparing!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching.

Which offers best toe protection? Sg12 or tech 10? I broke my toe with Fox. Tnx

Tnx. Any opinion on Forma predator 2.0?
Tech 10 for me :)
Yes! MX boots are like underwear and socks... everyone has that brand that is "their perfect fit."
Awesome job Kyle,, very helpful
Glad you think so! Thanks for watching.
Great video. I had a pair of SG12's. The padding around the ankle was too tight for me. Actually bruised my ankle. Otherwise, a super comfortable boot.
The SG12's really are great boots. All of these boots in this level of boots are pretty amazing! -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team
Mine started out that way, lots of ankle pain, then they broke in that tight band of memory foam and they're insanely comfortable.
Great review!! You’ should do the same with truck boots
Thank you for your suggestion. Please clarify just exactly what you mean by "Truck Boots" and I will get it added to my list. - Kyle
Great review!
Thanks Joe! - Kyle
Sg 12 o alpinestars tech 10?
I am personally a fan of the SG12 boots. They are my choice between the two... -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team
Do you have dirt bike boots for bigger calves?
Gaerne's shin plate is adjustable to accommodate a larger calf.
Yes, what Shayneoff has suggested. This feature works GREAT!
Great info. Thanks
Thanks William! - Kyle

great review my guy
but it killed me watching you use the rear brake to plant all your weight when you swing your leg over!
Ohh..... I'll have to go back and watch! I was unaware that I was doing that! Thanks for watching! - Kyle
@@chaparralmotorsports the stand took most of your weight for sure. not a big deal just got a chuckle out of it
oh my god its true haha good eye. still this guy is great at describing the feeling of these boots..!
TheNickademas1 he stepped on the stand. Not the brake
Very useful video!!
Should add that your video sold another pair of SG-12 Enduros.
Glad you think so! Thanks for watching.
Tech 10 soles usually last a year
It depends on the rider, the pegs, and whether or not you do a lot of walking around in the boots.
“Limited addition”😂
Slip of the tongue. Oh well.
Good review
Thanks for watching! -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team
Moulded and glued soles are money saving by the manufacturer, the end.
Hi Billy Bob, thanks for watching our video. Some people don't mind the glued soles, but yeah the replaceable soles are a nice feature to have.
Lol leave the inner booty in the tech10.
After going with tech10's for many years I have purchased some sidi crossfire 3's
Yes... I did figure out the booty eventually. I personally LOVE Sidi Boots. Thanks for watching. -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team
I like the format but this guy doesnt seem like he rides or really knows what he is talking about
Huh. That's pretty interesting seeing as how he's an avid rider.
good review but honestly you should have worn some black pants... or at least not some BRIGHT ugly orange pants LOL
Noted for next time... Thanks for watching! -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team
@@chaparralmotorsports keep up the good work though
Alpinestars looks so bulky..
They are similar to most other boots.
