    Gettin me an Auger, and selling my Stump grinder. Really no holes to drill around here, but got serious stumps to grind! Thanks great idea. Are auger couplings a standard? How many GPM was that demo using? Like Butta!

      This was being used on a 2006 Cat 272 with about 17 gpm. Main thing the stump planner needs is torque! Minimum torque required is 3,000 ft/lbs so in our line of auger drive units it would be at least an MD18 or H019 to power a 12” planner. We manufacture several “kits” that would include the drive unit, mounting bracket, hose kit and couplers so it just all depends on what machine you’re needing to attach too. If you know what machine you’re wanting to attach to feel free to give us a call 866-458-0008 or drop us an email (contact@premierattach.com) and we can help spec out a complete unit.

    Is there a tool like this on a smaller, much smaller scale to where I can get this job done? I have a small one near the lining of my fence and I would rather not take my fence apart to get it done.

    Can these be used on a Little Beaver hydraulic post hole digger (With an adapter of course)? Thanks

      Unfortunately they won’t. These need a minimum of 3,000 ft/lbs of torque for them to cut the stump correctly.

    Is this driven off the rear pto shaft or hydraulic pressure?

      Seeing as this one is on a compact track loader, I'll go with hydraulic. I think to get this on a compact tractor, a power pack will be needed since most tractors don't have enough hydraulic gpm flow. I'd like to see one of these on a tractor though like a John Deere 4 series with a power pack.

    Can the md12pd run one of these?

    • @PremierAuger
      @PremierAuger  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question. The MD12 just doesn’t have the torque needed to run a stump planer. We recommend at least 3,000 ft/lbs of torque so you would need at least an MD18 or H019 to do the job. Hope this helps and feel free to reach out if you have any questions

    Could you put something like that on the back of a JD 3032 ???

      We recommend 3,000 Ft Lbs of torque for the 12" and 5,000 ft lbs of torque for the 16" diameter. Your tractor only produces 5.5 gpm at 2500 psi. With limited hydraulics this product will not work well for your equipment. Let us know if you have any further questions.

      @@PremierAuger How much- I dont know my flow rate- I have a mahindra 3540(40 horsepower) do u think that would be big enough?

    will that work on the rk24

      Not sure. Do you know what your available GPM and relief pressure is on that machine? We generally would recommend 10+ GPM and 3,000 psi to run a large enough auger system to power the stump planer.

    What’s flow rate?

    • @PremierAuger
      @PremierAuger  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      With a stump planer its all about torque. We recommend a minimum of 3,000 ft/lbs of torque for a 12” planer and 5,000 ft/lbs for a 16” planer. Any flow over 10 gpm will get the job done. We’d typically recommend at least our MD18, MS18 or H019 size drive units to effectively turn one. Thanks for the question.
