“If You Want Blood, You Got It” is another killer song off this album! Another great slower song is “Night Prowler” Also, gotta check out AC/DC Live at Donington!!
My 1st concert was AC/DC "Fly on the Wall" tour. My 14th birthday present...way back in the day. I've seen them 6 times. "FOR Those About To Rock" is a must.
I saw them on the same tour. I was 15. Reno, NV. When they closed with For those about to Rock, they blew the whole grid with the electronic cannons. We came out of the arena to total darkness. They blew the power out at the whole University of Nevada campus. It was awesome, but they never came back to Reno. They were amazing!!!....and loud AF!!! Angus never stopped moving.
Heh -- my dad took me to see the "Back in Black" tour when I was 12. I don't remember the name of the venue, but I'm pretty sure we were still living in Albuquerque at the time...
Saw them live in 1990. Seen many bands in concert, but they, by far, put on the best show! Literally walked out of there going "What in the world just happened!?" MIND BLOWN!
Really enjoyed watching you two enjoy this classic song! AC/DC has been my favourite band for decades, and have seen them five times in concert. It's an experience like nothing else, and they just get better and better. The fourth time I saw them live, in 2008 in Tacoma, Washington, I was fortunate enough to meet Angus after the show. A bunch of us hung around outside the arena by the tour buses, and after a while a security guard came out and allowed us in to get one photo or autograph, and Angus came out to spend time with everyone that wanted to meet him. He must have been exhausted after such an incredible performance, but he had all the time in the world for us fans. They say 'don't meet your heroes,' but Angus could not have been more down to earth, friendly and genuine in person. I was so nervous I could barely think of anything to say, other than thanking him and Malcolm for inspiring me to play guitar in the first place. Best songs, best band in the world.
There's so much to be said about this band. Fortunate enough to be a teenager at their highest popularity. I saw them live in the late 70's, with Bon Scott. Un-freak-in-be-live-able to say the least. Another great tune to look for is, "Let There Be Rock" Angus really shows out in this one. Brian had some mighty big shoes to fill, and he has accomplished that for sure. But there'll never be another Bon Scott.
AC/DC's song "It's a long way to the top!" One of my all-time favorite AC/DC songs !! I saw them in '85 here in Atlanta, GA at the OMNI, Fly On The Wall Tour
Growing up anytime an AC/DC song came on when my dad was around I always had to hear about how he'd seen them a half dozen times. 2 with Bon, the rest with Brian. And how out of the hundreds of rock and metal concerts he'd been to over the years, the show he saw them do on the Highway to Hell tour was the loudest, hard-rockinest show he'd ever seen. And it probably is the reason he still has hearing loss in his left ear.
RIP Bon Scott. He was the first and the best, but Brian Johnson stepped up and honored Bon by continuing the ACDC legacy. He has nothing to apologize for. He had giant shoes to fill and he did just fine. I have no doubt Bon is proud of their band. Long live ACDC!
Actually he was not the first lead singer. That honour belonged to a man named David Evans and there was one 45 released here which was their first 45 release here in Australia.
rewriting history......with Bon....not much success...with Brian, the biggest rock album of all time, Rock & Roll hall of fame....and because of Brian, people went back and listen to Bon's time and fell in love with that music...
Man,I miss driving around neighborhoods on Fridays and Saturdays in the 80s,you could always hear a house party from 3 blocks away with AC/DC blasting out the windows, good times, wish I could go back. Saw AC/DC 3 times in concert, awesome every time. Hello from British Columbia 😎
Have always loved AC/DC. I think I had every album they made, in either cassette or vinyl, back in the day. Always had their tunes cranked cruising down the highway. Living in the Yukon, I seldom had the opportunity to go to many concerts as no one came that far north to play. In August 1996, AC/DC was playing in Edmonton Alberta and we couldn't pass up travelling over 1200 hard driven highway miles (almost 2000 kms) to go see them. It was the first concert we took our son to (he was 11 years old). It was their Thunderstruck tour and it ROCKED!
This rocker leads right into another banger you must listen to..."Girls Got Rhythm".... heck, then just go right to "Touch Too Much". This album is a CLASSIC rock album with all great songs!
Back in the early 70s my sister hung out backstage with them at a small Pub in the town of Whyalla Sth Australia. They were very young & relatively unknown drinking beer with the patrons & smoking cigarettes.. the rest is history!
The amazing part about this break through album for AC/DC was that Bon Scott died shortly afterwards just when they were peaking .. that would kill most bands. What did they do? Got Brian Johnson and released “Back in black” one of the greatest rock albums of all time.
They were my first concert ever back in 1981. The For Those About To Rock tour in Dallas. Even though I was allllllll the way in the back of Reunion Arena, the cannons going off literally shook my body! An incredible first concert experience.
Have you seen the look in Bon Scott´s eyes? The man look like a maniac and he sure sang like one!! May he rest in peace. AC/DC is what rock n´roll is all about! Lovely to se your reaction to this milestone of a song. Keep on rockin´!
Saw them live once only about 20 years ago I think, here in Canada 🇨🇦 and even though they were 'older' they had ridiculous amounts of energy on stage and it got everyone so pumped up and put me to shame cause I couldn't even keep up with their energy as a much younger person lol. These guys ROCK...no slow ballads or soft love songs...they only play rock and rock from start to end...will never forget that show. Keep smiling 🤘 🙂
I'm so glad you're enjoying AC/DC 🇦🇺.As Aussie we were lucky enough watch them make it in Australia. They played at not only at capital city's but our country towns in our town hall. They even played for free at a concert. Angus was at school when Malcom said he wonted to start a band and told Angus he'd wonted him to join and it was his sister that said Angus should wear his uniform and her sewing machine gave them the name AC/DC. I have loved them from day one and will till the day I die when I have this song at my funeral..
I saw AC/DC a few times as a teenager in the 80s - so dang awesome! There are videos of their concert in Argentina & the fans are insanely WILD - in the best possible sense.
Been lucky enough to see AC/DC about 8 times over the years!! Every time was awesome. First time was with Bon Scott out front back in 1975 in Sydney, their home town. I love them so much that I play in one of Australia's biggest ACDC Tribute bands so get to see audiences go off at every show. Fantastic music to play, the best fun ever .
There's a lot to learn about this song, as a musician. The guitar, drums and vocals are doing 3 completely different things at the start of the song, yet they are all coming together masterfully.
Man, I've seen AC/DC in concert twice & loved it both times! They rock the whole way through! I just wish I could of seen the original lead singer, Bonn Scott, while he was alive!
I absolutely love AC/DC myself. One of the few bands I can listen to anytime. So many amazing songs to listen to and enjoy. One of my favorites is The Jack. Sleazy , gritty , and fun .
I was 17 years old when I saw them January 15, 91 in Portland Oregon at the memorial Coliseum. I have a scar on my leg from that concert. Money talks. I've seen many many artists in my life. Let me tell you, my ears rang for THREE days after seeing them. They're the LOUDEST band I've ever seen! Lost my mind when the ac/dc bell came down, then ac/dc money flying everywhere when money talks played. I have one hell of a story getting to this concert with my best friend. Including almost getting kicked out for getting on stage and touching Angus Youngs leg. Lol. Great memories.
I first saw ACDC when they were starting out in a "hotel" in Sydney Australia. During one particular song the singer (Bon Scott) carried Angus on his shoulders still paying guitar through the standing crowd to the other side of the room where the serving bar was - in which Angus continued playing on the "bar". Incredible.
I saw them at a concert in 1978... I was shocked to see how big Bon Scott was in person and then to see Angus on his shoulders as well... amazing showmen.
I really enjoy your reactions to so much of the music that I have enjoyed over my many years. I recently found this quote and thought it was great: 'The fact that there's a highway to hell and only a stairway to heaven says a lot about anticipated traffic numbers.'
Priceless reaction to the awesome pick drag @ 5:11 -- I love hearing that in Boston songs, and it comes at the perfect moment here. I can't even explain why such a simple technique sounds so freaking good!
I first saw AC/DC in Adelaide at Memorial Drive in 1981. They were banned from South Australia after that show due to several stabbings. The second concert was in 1988 at Globe Derby Park in Adelaide. It was and still is the best concerts I have been to (I have been to lot of concerts) The crowd listening outside created a riot and stormed the venue tearing down fences and escaping the cops to get inside. Then in 1996 at the Entertainment Centre in Adelaide - it was so loud that as a massive fan I couldn't decipher what they were playing! So I walked out after three attempts to work out what song was playing. Then the final show in 2015 at Adelaide Oval - OMFG what a show that was - back to normal and a better PA system!
I saw AC/DC live at Market Square Arena in Indianapolis in 1980 as a 16 yr old young man - and as you can imagine, was blown away. We were all wondering what the new lead singer Brian Johnson was going to be like and he also blew us away from the first song (which was Hells Bells) to the last. They brought Angus around through the crowd on top of the security guards shoulders half way through the concert - making a loop around the floor level seats. I tried to jump over the top of everyone to touch Angus and as my hand reached a grip on his elbow, the sweat caused it to slip off and I fell to the floor only to be trampled by about 100 people. Lol The footprints on my back were worth it! 😂
Two other videos from this album that you ave to react to: "If You Want Blood, You Got It" and "Walk All Over You." In the latter song, the first 50 seconds start slowly, then Angus goes into fifth gear for the last four minutes.
I saw them in the late eighties, Angus mooned the crowd and climbed all the way up his Marshall stacks while playing somehow! The loudest concert I've been to, I was half deaf for a week!!!! Good times!!!
Seen AC/DC a few times in concert. First time was around 74 at my primary school hall dance before they had made it big. The second was in 76 at the Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne, just when they were becoming famous, that was my first real concert ever. Blew my mind. The Let There Be Rock inside album art work was from that concert. I was 15. Great memories that I'll never forget. RIP Bon.
If you want to see Agnus in one his best guitar performances, watch “Let There Be Rock” live from The Apollo in Glasgow. Multiple guitar solos and he saves the best for last!
I saw them in Columbus Ohio in ‘79, one of the last shows in the US with Bon Scott. It was the “Dirty Deeds” mini-tour, but they were trying out some new stuff, so I saw what was probably one of the first public performances of this song. It was a nasty, sweaty, funny, scary, crazy night of General Admission madness. I got kicked in the head (by accident) by Angus as they did their traditional guitar solo through the crowd with Angus on a roadie’s shoulders. One of the best decisions I ever made was grabbing that free ticket off a friend who couldn’t go...
*I was a fan from the beginning....had every album. This was the last album with Bon Scott. I finally got to see them in 1980, but it was seven months after Bon Died and 2 or 3 months after Back in Black was released.*
I did get to see AC/DC live one time when I was in high school. August 5th, 1986 in Ft. Worth Texas. It was the loudest show ever. And considering I have seen Metallica in concert 10 times, I do mean LOUD. 80's kids were so blessed with the ease of which we attended concerts. There were SO many bands to pick from and different genres. Just show up the night before the tickets went on sale, or super early the morning of, get our place in line and walk to the counter and hand over our cash. We didn't even realize how lucky we were. Watching you react to the music of my generation, and even my Dad's generation, is a gift.
Bon led the band as they reached stardom laying the foundation then tragedy struck. Brian stepped in and took the band to another level. Bob’s death caused the writing of the classic Back in Black.
I've always said Bon Scott can sing anything and make it sound obscene. And I imagine this song has been in a lot of movies. One that immediately comes to mind is Megamind.
Man I always love y'alls reactions. I can see how much fun y'all are having as y'all feel the music. I love how y'all are opening all of these wonderful artist and songs to the younger generation. My hubby and I have a little joke. I told him if God called me home first he can play any song at my funeral except, Highway to Hell and Burn B**CH Burn 🔥 lol 😂😂
I just don’t get people who love Rock and don’t love AC/DC. They’re freakin iconic!! Oh and Angus is just running his pick up and down the fret board really fast to make that sound.
I like the way Bon sings the chorus and before the song stops and goes back into the verses…it sounds like a question instead of an exclamation mark. HIGHWAY TO HELL…HIGHWAY TO HELL..HIGHWAY TO HELL…IM ON THE HIGHWAY TO HELL??? Like he meant to make a U-Turn 😝😝😝😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🔥🔥🔥
What makes it great is the fact that they keep it so simple and the guitar solo is very blues inspired and Bon Scott's raspy catlike whaling was a combination for rock perfection and legend
My favorite original lead singer Bon Scott. Love this song probably my favorite. Got a great story. I was stuck in traffic in front of a Walmart entrance/exit at a red light. A preacher was outside with a megaphone preaching to everyone. I rolled my windows down and turned the JVC cd player/radio combo in my Ford Ranger and turned on this song full blast. It was amazing.
I saw AC/DC on the Highway to Hell tour and Bon Scott one of the best unique voices in Rock! Sorely missed! I saw AC/DC on Back in Black in 1980 and For Those About to Rock We Salute You in 1981. Brian Johnson was the perfect fit for AC/DC after Bon passed. Brian was a unique voice just like Bon’s voice was unique. Love them both!
Thanks Guys, I'm from Melbourne Australia and I grew up on these guys during my high school years. I needed that fix. You are the greatest. I had to turn up the volume. I remember they had an open air concert in Melbourne, in the late 70's it was so loud they could hear it from 5 miles away.
Angus has an older brother George , who was a songwriter & producer that had a big hit before AC/DC was a thought , you ought to do it as it was a major hit. “Friday on my Mind” by the Easybeats George Young & Harry Vanda wrote it & it’s a great guitar song !😀
Yes and then they formed Flash and the Pan which had a few college radio hits in the late 70's and 80's. Hey St Peter, Walkin' In The Rain, California, Down Among the Deadmen to name a few.

You mean Bon Scott's voice? Angus plays guitar.
You forgot Big Balls, the greatest innuendo song ever
Old lady slip up. I stand corrected.👍✌️🇨🇦
Angus didn't sing my man, That's none other than Bon Scott!
@@marybaillie8907 👍
The absolute best concerts I ever witnessed was AC/DC live, high energy...non stop rock n roll.!!! RIP Bon Scott..great reaction guys!
I love Brian Johnson, but Bon Scott has, to me, a more natural, "smoother" style. Johnson's vocals sound kind of "straining" (in a good way), but Bon's always sound natural and easy. This band is one of the GREATS for sure...
I hadn’t thought of it that way, but true. 😊
Yes Bon had a voice that was powerful clear and not strained
@@Mankind_- I agree. Not a knock on Brian, but I can remember being 14 when Back in Black came out. They played You Shook Me on the radio without announcing who it was, and I thought "Damn, Bob Seger is really goin hard on this one! Not a knock on Brian or Seger. LOL
True...but acdc never lost a beat with black in black... took them more mainstream
I also loved Bon Scott's showboating/theatrical nature on stage, I felt it paired with Angus' act super well. :)
I'm a nearly 60 year old woman and these tracks take me back to being 17 I don't know how Angus can still keep moving like that with all that energy you guys play alot of the stuff I grew up with and love and the way you react to it makes me feel 17 again
Greatest opening riff in rock history. Period. Full stop. One of my absolute favorites of all time.
My fav AC⚡DC song (among many) so I can't dispute that at all !
Have you ever heard Van Halen Best of Both Worlds ?
Very reminiscent.
You might dig it.
the one for Hells Bells is pretty dang good too.
I love AC/DC but I still think that title goes to Money For Nothing
smoke on the water
“If You Want Blood, You Got It” is another killer song off this album! Another great slower song is “Night Prowler” Also, gotta check out AC/DC Live at Donington!!
My 1st concert was AC/DC "Fly on the Wall" tour. My 14th birthday present...way back in the day. I've seen them 6 times. "FOR Those About To Rock" is a must.
Thats usually when you know its ending eh? That 21 cannon salute shook the whole arena! 💥
I was also 14 and saw them on that tour at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto. Yngwie Malmsteen opened. Huge bell and real cannons. Great show.
Rob's reaction is why music is beautiful and a unifying power. We all feel that joy when we hear a song or band we love. Keeps the world turning ❤
I saw them in 1980 at the San Francisco Cow Palace, Back in Black tour. There were three of us and we had press seats given to us. It was epic.
Same album: “Girls Got Rhythm”, “Shot Down in Flames”, “Beating Around the Bush” …. all bangers too.
Get it hot!!!
Possibly the best from ACDC ... it's up there.
AC/DC with Bon Scott as lead singer is awesome. Love Brian Johnson, but the old school AC/DC is da bomb.
Imagine back in black with Bon I can only wish
70s THE REAL DEAL
AC/DC has so many classic riffs that nearly every song of theirs has a well-known guitar riff that people know by heart.
Yes!!! Awesome! Absolutely love this song and band! They were so good live!!🤘🔥
Saw them twice....those gigs were nuts , memorable .
Seen them 6 times
Bon Scott vocals. Born in Forfar , Angus, Scotland of all places.
@@joetravieso3542 Not much success with Bon? You 've got to be kidding? LMFAO.
@@shelbyseelbach9568 I say we take off and NUKE from orbit; no intelligent life down here!
Yessss...the fantastic vocals of Bon Scott :)
My first concert without parents was AC/DC's Highway to Hell tour. I was 14. It still stands out as one of the best concerts of my life!
This rocker leads right into another banger you must listen to..."Girls Got Rhythm".... heck, then just go right to "Touch Too Much". This album is a CLASSIC rock album with all great songs!
Touch too much is awesome! A favorite of theirs for sure!
Saw that tour, ears were ringing for two days
ACDC...have the greatest 2 albums in a row in history. Every song is awesome!!}
Highway To Hell
Back In Black.
They were my first concert ever back in 1981. The For Those About To Rock tour in Dallas.
Even though I was allllllll the way in the back of Reunion Arena, the cannons going off literally
shook my body! An incredible first concert experience.
You sure 81 wasn't the "Hell's Bells" tour? Those about to rock tour I thought was earlier.
They were also my 1st concert ever in Feb 82 Seattle Center... Best concert ever and my ears rang for 3 days!!!
I remember that concert. I was in the 11th grade and we saw it at the Summit in Houston
Our motto was "as long as we're in the building".😊
This song was released in 1979 Bon Scot The REAL DEAL .... 70s style
Love you both! That is all. 🐝 Blessed Bee
I can remember the first time I heard this song over 40 years ago and it gives me joy to watch you guys hear it for the first time ❤️❤️❤️
Been lucky enough to see AC/DC about 8 times over the years!!
@@dougphelps6917 Yes Doug we were both there. Bondi Lifesaver Hotel from memory.
I really enjoy your reactions to so much of the music that I have enjoyed over my many years.
I recently found this quote and thought it was great:
'The fact that there's a highway to hell and only a stairway to heaven says a lot about anticipated traffic numbers.'
Priceless reaction to the awesome pick drag @ 5:11 -- I love hearing that in Boston songs, and it comes at the perfect moment here. I can't even explain why such a simple technique sounds so freaking good!
Dont forget about Golden Earring's 'Twilight Zone '✌
I know you recently did Joan Jett singing “Dirty Deeds”, but you really need to hear the original by these guys!
Phil Rudd on the drums is the master of GROOVE!!
Malcolm Young is just the best on those power chords!
I can’t decide what I enjoy more: the music itself or watching you two rock it out!
I've been listening to ACDC for decades. I never get tied of them.
Two other videos from this album that you ave to react to: "If You Want Blood, You Got It" and "Walk All Over You." In the latter song, the first 50 seconds start slowly, then Angus goes into fifth gear for the last four minutes.
like ordering vintage wine with BALLS!
I saw them in the late eighties, Angus mooned the crowd and climbed all the way up his Marshall stacks while playing somehow! The loudest concert I've been to, I was half deaf for a week!!!! Good times!!!
Bon Scott was the voice of ACDC, I stopped listening after Back n Black, but every album before that was my jam! Loved it!!!!
Agnus? Really?
I listen to this in 5th grade 50 Years ago. Heard it so much I quit paying attention to the details. Watching you two made me realize this. Thanks!
My mom passed away earlier this, My dad and I paid tribute to her by jamming this song. My family loves this band XD
Don't worry bud she's probably up in heaven. I would say she probably met Bon but I think Bon made a little too many songs about hell 😂
@@mcchicken5039 Hey man, it's just art XD
That head bop and leg stomp is his way of keeping time to the music.
I've always said Bon Scott can sing anything and make it sound obscene. And I imagine this song has been in a lot of movies. One that immediately comes to mind is Megamind.
A great band who had 2 great frontmen. I love Bon Scott AC/DC...Highway to Hell was my first AC/DC record
Rest in Peace to the great AC/DC lead singer,
Bon Scott - 1946-1980
🙏🖤🌹🕯
The band will not be big today, had it not been for Bon Scott
Wow only 34 yrs old
Thanks for givin Bon some loves he’s a badass
What makes it great is the fact that they keep it so simple and the guitar solo is very blues inspired and Bon Scott's raspy catlike whaling was a combination for rock perfection and legend
Angus has the guitar tune of Eric Clapton from the beano album.
This is my favorite AC/DC song! You guys should react to the live version of this song from their concert at River Plate in 2009 The crowd is insane!
I saw them in 1988 when I got out of army basic training. They had Cinderella opening for them. EXCELLENT show..so glad I was "concert age" then.
You need to do "If You Want Blood". It is AC/DC at some of there most raw
Never ever get sick of hearing them full of energy ❤️💛🖤👍
Thanks Guys, I'm from Melbourne Australia and I grew up on these guys during my high school years. I needed that fix. You are the greatest. I had to turn up the volume.
I remember they had an open air concert in Melbourne, in the late 70's it was so loud they could hear it from 5 miles away.
If you want AC/DC you have to absolutely listen to, Big Balls from the Fly ON The Wall Album.
It's the classic sound mixed with humor.
What a song, every aspect is perfect! And, Phil Rudd laying down that beat!
The day harry and George met is considered the most prolific day in Australia music history!
Yep, George is the sixth and arguably the most influential member of AC/DC.
