    Here’s the recipe The ingredients is a whole chicken, large pot of water, two or three small onions, four ounces of ginger, 2 ounces of rock sugar, 2 tbsp fish sauce, 2 tsp salt ( I always adjust amount according to my taste preference with salt and fish sauce) and in my spice bag is fennel seeds, coriander seeds, Star anise, cinnamon stick and cardamom. Bring heat to high, cover with a lid, bring down to medium low and cook for 45 to an hour minutes. Adding quail eggs is optional, but highly recommended if you can find it. Cook rice noodles in boiling water for 45 seconds and rinse under cold water immediately. Garnish with cilantro, green onions, jalapeño, Thai basil and a fresh squeeze of lemon or lime juice. For condiments add chili garlic oil, hoisin and sriracha

    Tôi là người Việt , không biết bên nước các bạn thế nào chứ ở Việt Nam chúng tôi sẽ cho hành tây, gừng vào nướng nên cho thơm, các loại thảo mộc bạn có thể cho vào chảo đảo đều đến khi ngửi thấy mùi thơm , bỏ ra để nguội rồi cho vào, còn gà hoặc xương các loại cho vào nước sôi 1 đến 2 phút rồi mới cho vào nấu , như vậy nước dùng sẽ trong , không hôi mùi gia cầm và mùi các loại nước như bò..., chúc bạn thành công, cảm ơn!!!

    • @damiann4734
      @damiann4734 24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@Johanlob1it is close... because most vietnamese that came over to US or Australia are from south vietnam. South vietnamese food is more flavourful in term of sweetness as compared to North. Also south vietnamese add more basil in their food such as Pho, saigon style has basil but north all they eat is green onions and pickled garlic like the chinese. Also Thai and Vietnamese usually live together in same community in Sydney Australia. You can find Thai and Vietnamese stores sell the same deserts and drinks like durian shakes sugar cane juice, or green mango fruits. So that person is partly correct.

    I normally don't put any fish sauce in chicken pho but if you must have it, you can put fish sauce at the end because the broth tends to get a lil sour when you reheat it the next day.
