It doesn’t look good. The stabilization looked super weird when you were walking towards the car, wobbling. Image is generally very noisy, much more than in other photos. HDR looks off and they haven’t really cared about skin tones. Yet, there is a ton of comments exaggerating the capabilities of the phone… It’s almost like if any kind of critique was forbidden. This isnt wonderland; some things work and some don’t. There’s no shame in pointing that out. I appreciate the effort Matti and friends put into the video, definitely proving you don’t need a super expensive setup to start your journey in photography or video. Edit: now that I keep scrolling I see many people sharing the same view

The timelapse capabilities of the VIVO software is incredible. That is what got me into videography ! Se happy to see the inspiring creator use that tool.
this is weird, the skin color and hdr is slightly better than any iphone, but the exposure changes are worse than an iphone. i would like to see a side by side vs an iphone. that horizon lock feature of the phone is similar to gopro i hope other phone manufacturers copy it. i've been waiting for it for phones. glad its here. cool video!

While I could tell this was shot on a phone, really enjoyed the content! So many people want the latest and greatest like the new a74 or a7siii but story’s can be told with much less! It’s weird but this video confirmed to me that I am going to stick with my a7iii and not upgrade to the a74 and focus more on story telling because honestly I still think my a7iii has amazing image quality.

So I did similar kind of testing with the Galaxy S10 5g and the results were far better. I think no other smartphone brand can beat iPhone when it comes to video recording but Samsung is the video champ in android space.

Vancouverite in Thailand here, I vlog using Vivo X50 Pro (gen 1 with built-in gimbal) and love it. Will upgrade to X70- Pro+ as the wide angle also has a gimbal now, perfect!
The optics are good, but the audio is horrible. I watched this with headphones on and could hear the stereo mics struggling to determine where to place the audio in the sound stage; voices would flitter between channels instead of sounding like they were centered. When it was windy, it seemed there was processing occurring to try and reduce the noise, but the voices that came through were choppy. That may be a case of "something is better than nothing," but it wasn't great.

Is it great? No but it's good enough and 99% of people wouldn't even tell the difference if they didn't know it was shot on a mobile.

It's as any phone. It's come so far. But not yet a replacement. It looks as good as a top tier android and iPhone 12 (best version).
This phone is very good, vivo makes really good phones but i expect more from vivo and i know they can do better phones.
