    Thanks for this video, Darius! When this happened to my console lid, I thought for sure some plastic piece had snapped and I’d have to buy a part to replace it. When you showed how simple it was to access the hinge and push those pins back in, I was thrilled! Just a few minutes later, my lid was opening and closing smoothly again!

    Same exact setup/concept on my wife’s 2014 Mazda 3 base hatch. The key is just getting that back piece off. Couldn’t sleep and did it at 4 AM in about 10 minutes. Funny how the similarities remain constant between different models of the same year. Thank you

      @@DariusBuildz oh ok that’s what I thought at first then it seemed to consistent. In the end I didn’t care at all. I have had a broken console since I bought the car and haven’t wanted to take the time to take apart my entire center dash. Damn bro, you gotta keep posting these quick fixes. I just got a 6 and broke the armrest the second day I got it. Fixed in 10 minutes. Also, the rattling Bose speaker fix is fire. Saved tons of money on this.
    At this point I might crash my car and most likely you will have a Free.99 fix for it.

      Welcome! And what type of flashing light on the dash?

    • @kennyluro6059
      @kennyluro6059 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      BSM - blind spot monitoring light. There’s a switch but it doesn’t respond to the off and on

    • @DariusBuildz
      @DariusBuildz  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m not sure why the bsm light would be
      Blinking. I have the FSM. Let me see if I can look up the troubleshooting for that

    • @DariusBuildz
      @DariusBuildz  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      According to the Mazda FSM, they have to connect a M-MDS to the DLC-2 to do any diagnostics or self tests on the BSM. So it looks like it will have to go to the dealer for diagnosing. Sorry man.
