Awesome JR, thank you for the time and effort you put into this no BS (secret film crew, pro production), no commercial-intent ride through our beautiful country. I am in the PNW and plan to ride the WA BDR. We are also probably of close ages, so that motivates me too. Thank again. -Al in Seattle
@@jrdepew Also 72 here, I'll be heading to Alaska then to Prudhoe bay Arctic ocean in July/August. Leaving from my home in Rathdrum, Idaho. Great vids !
I've viewed a lot of trip reports JR and I have to say yours is up there with the best. No nonsense, no hero riding on dirt bike single track, you captured the essence of what touring in the west is all about. I'm subscribed and looking for more!
Thank you, thank you! I have thoroughly enjoyed your videos of this last trip you made. What a wonderful adventure you had. You went through several areas I've wondered about and others I've been through already. I'm looking forward to a little warmer weather so I can get out and make some rides this summer. Happy Trails!
I love your trip and how you present it. I also love your music. I live in Canada and do a lot of of road riding. Last year I rode down the Great Divide to Mexico from Canada and back on the BDR trails with 5 Arthur riders. Three KTM and two DR650 I Riding a DR. We did 9500 miles 34 days what a great ride.
Relaxing, well planned, mature approach to seeing so.e of the best our country has to offer. Thanks so much for taking the time and expense to capture your adventure and share it with us.
JR, Joaquin here. I was happy to watch your last episode in this series. I wanted to let you know the JB weld held my mirror together great... I have since rebuild that mirror with new glass. Thank you. That road from Yellow Pine to McCall was awesome huh. I got your text. I will respond with some of my plans for summer etc. Hopefully our plans wll overlap and we can do some riding.
What an amazing series JR, thank you for posting, that was a ride of a lifetime. The commentary along the way was as smooth as the purring of the DR650 Suzuki. You are an inspiration to many. Thank You, looking forward to your next adventure.
I have really enjoyed your videos. The audio along the way is really one of the best parts. Some folks have good videos but the audio descriptions are not so good. Thanks TT
Well JR, you've done it again. A nice pleasant video of a beautiful day spent on a motorcycle. You also have caused me to subscribe to all these pleasant depictions of foolhardy living on a motorcycle. Thank you and keep at it, I have enjoyed every minute you posted! Probably will end up with a DR650 sometime in the next month or two, can I tell my wife JR made me do it? LOL... Enjoy.
@@jrdepew You were in bear country yet I never heard any comments or concerns expressed about bears, or am I mistaken? Would be good to hear what you do about such wildlife up there... thx...
Hey JR, you've been an inspiration to this old duffer (I'm 70 years young) and so what's next for you.. Alberta, Alaska? It's been a long winter with lots of rain and snow so maybe the forest fires will hold off this year. I can hardly wait to get out there into the great wide open. Best of luck and happy trails!
That’s my kind of riding beautiful country for sure that DR 650 is Being taking care of our you would be on the side of the road broke down just like any other bike keep them rpm’s down and they will last.
Not yet! There are so many good lists by other DR owners though. I have the most common ones to make it a real adventure and trail worthy ride. Maybe i I will make one too. Thanks.
I see Ur riding my favorite dual sport I sold last summer for a Husky 501 -- I still miss my ole blue heavy but rock solid dependable............. do I think these Swedish / Austrian things are overrated YES; I do.
I live in Virginia. My Daughter lets me stage out of her place in Washington where I kept the DR650 from 2019 -2023. Series in Oregon and then back to Virginia on the channel. Thanks so much for watching and commenting. Keeps me motivated to edit!
@@jrdepew Your videos and adventure has been inspirational to may as I am roughly your age and recently retired. I ran the TAT from East to West last Summer ending in CO. Would like to go back and finish this Summer, but your route seemed enticing. Would you be able to share your route? Would you suggest a route from Denver to the West Coast that would be equal to the TAT? Probably will trailer the bike and jump off from CO, do ou have any thoughts on a safe place to leave truck and trailer ie local campground? Thanks for your time....Kevin
The best part of the TAT is from CO westbound. If you use GPSkevins TAT tracks they take a route into Nevada from Utah and Sam Correro’s go north into Idaho with less sand. My route in the videos was a hodgepodge of several tracks and wouldn’t mesh with a TAT to the coast. I have a two part TAT series on my channel. Check out that second one runs from Rockies to Oregon coast through south Idaho. If you haven’t done so, join the TAT FB page and get some intel there on parking etc. it’s an adventure for sure.

What year is your 650 and how many miles on it
