If I'm not mistaken, at 21:20 when the subs are trying to detect your task force, they should only be using the -2 thermal layer modifier for their die roll. The -4 numbers for ranges 4 and 5 only apply to TF ships using a towed array to detect subs. Even TF ships attempting to detect deep subs without a towed array would also use the -2 thermal layer modifier.
ok, these soviets really gave you a run for your money here. Also the HMS Sheffield: lots of stress, attack -2, detection -2 AND a fire... sounds like my company after the Q4 results came in ;)
At 24 minutes and 40 seconds, you detected the first enemy submarine. You’re supposed to flip the counter and roll to see whether it could be neutral enemy or nothing at all. Instead, you chose an enemy sub card. Unfortunately, you have done it with the second sub too.

Great Playthrough!
Great playthrough. At least it was an interesting encounter.
I believe when enemy Ship 3, detected TF2 at level 2, they fire immediately if they have weapons range.
I forgot about that, I am sure you are correct.

Attract -2 should be Attack -2 I believe, from errata...
Also, when you discarded the first target card, you should’ve kept it since there was an improvement that you have to keep until destroyed.
For aircraft encounter, don't you just add aircraft attacks as part of the enemy actions phase (after Fast, before slow)?
On the player aid, enemy air attacks are done in phase 7, after the other activities.

You are correct. I forgot that step. Thanks.
Dave.... you need to go to a game store and get some new dice. What you're using is exhibiting a pro-Soviet bias.
