  • Hi all!
One of my most asked for videos is about dual heritage adoption. So many of us adopters have adopted a child of dual heritage or who is transracial or multiethnic which is just amazing. In this video I take you through some small differences to the adoption process and how we celebrate my son's heritage within our family.
I'm a bit all over the place in this video guys - lack of sleep thanks to a teething babe and potential pox! Please also excuse my varying terminology. I'm still very much learning how to discuss and talk about race and ethnicity using the most appropriate terminology

Thank you for this. I never thought we could adopt a child of a different ethnicity as I wouldn’t feel confident in educating them in their heritage.

Maybe I missed it in this video but... is there a reason why you didn't mention your son's heirtage?
This is an interesting topic for me since my wife and I are from different backgrounds (Black African and Brown Arab) and it isn't likely that mixed race child of this mix will be placed with us (you never know!).

Hi. Yes, I try to keep as many details about my kids anonymous to protect their identities. My son’s heritage is wonderful but very niche so we don’t share specifics online. Hope that helps!
