grew up a few miles from the track,as a kid I could hear the races every friday and saturday from my house.....its in my blood.

I know that I was there when this was filmed, my fathers E/Altered with the Ford straight six BEFORE the Hybrid cylinder head comes onscreen at 2:03!
I remember seeing the Chi-Town-Hustler at Freemont back then. Somebody filmed his burn-out, and to this day, the smokeyest, longest burn-out ever !
So cool takes me back I'm glad I kept my Hotrod mags got a picture of DonGartlis doing a fire burnout which has been illegal for years
I used to hit every big funny car meet at Capitol. I was most likely there.
