Aloha! My fiance & I can't wait to get to Maui in August. It will be my very first time to any Hawaiian island & a dream come true. We're getting married at Makena Cove. So ecstatic. Even dreaming of moving to Maui one day. We love your videos & all you've shown, not just about real estate, but so much more about Maui. We've seen A LOT of different vlogger's videos to learn as much as we can about Maui & I feel like I've already been there. LOL The countdown is slow right now, but exactly 10 weeks from today we will be walking the amazing west side-best side beaches! YEESSSAAAAA! 😊🤙

Great video, We were there in Nov and I was with my husband as he was golfing at Kapalua. When we got to the hotel side of the Montage ( we didn't even know there was a Montage on Maui) I told my husband, this reminds me of the Montage in Laguna Beach. As we were driving out we seen a sign that said Montage! lol We would love to stay but the people that stay at the Laguna one are SO snobby. Unfortunately that can ruin a vacation.. :)

Beautiful property. Question: If the builder failed to use the proper materials, why can they not be sued to recoup the cost of the repairs? Is that too obvious a question, or is the builder out of business? Just curious.
No, I think the developer/builder will definitely be getting sued. But mainly for not disclosing it to prospective buyers. I don’t know if that work was under warranty or guaranteed.

@@hawaiirealestateorg Aloha Eric can you kindly explain to us how these condo buildings are constructed. They look like they are fully cement block. I would have thought they would have built them this way for hurricanes. Guess not.
In Florida we used cement block walls for most homes, apartment & condos with stucco over the cement block. Then the roofs are usually wood frame for homes and cement flat roofs for apartments or condos.
We have a few that are cement floors and many with interior walls made of metal frame (to prevent termite damage) but, some builders went cheap and made the exterior walls out of some type of foam board with stucco on top of it which is not good for hurricanes. Im wondering if these buildings are the same. Which is not good for hurricanes.
Not sure where the galvanized nails come into play with these condos. Can you explain this in more detail when you get a chance of which type of framing material are used for most condos and new homes are build including these condos.

My heart really breaks for these home owners especially after the past 3 years of economic chaos and lies from our own govt.
Condo assestments that last 3 years in Florida have tripled in cost. Contractors are making a ton of moneywith their jacked up prices and sadly building materials have also tripled in FLorida and I imagine building materials in Hawaii are off the chart.
Would be great if you took a home depot/lowes tour of wood cost if you ever had time.
I really enjoy your type of vid showing us the surrounding area, parts, shopping areas, and tours of the pools/beach of these large condo complex etc well done!!
