Man that 1988 Summer when this dropped and 1989 On Our Own for Ghostbusters Soundtrack was fire 🔥. I just remembered him ruling the charts in those two years. Me being in 9th & 10th grade. He was so full of energy. He had just left New Edition and I remembered all of us thinking he wasn't going to make it without the group. We were so wrong, but in a good way! He shocked us. So happy to see him now. He may have had the same Music Voice Coach that Whitney had just before she passed. He does sound way better than recent performances.
