Proof that history teaches people more about current events than current events do. Was very interesting to watch.
The aim of the revolution was to create a secular republic. However, the Islamists were given support by foreign powers in the form of money, weapons, and intelligence. The secular republicans just couldn’t compete and were all captured and either imprisoned or executed by the Islamist revolutionaries. The Islamists were unique in the sense that they were able to play the USSR and USA against each other and come out on top.
When looking these videos in 2023, everything looking very clear,it was change from one dictatorship to theological dictatorship, suffering of the people in Iran continue.

@@mogznwaz Hey numbnut, i'm talking about the democratic government of Iran in the 1950s which was overthrown by a coup instigated by the US and UK (a documented fact) which paved the way for the revolution in 79. Learn how to distinguish historical events, before talking about what's conspiracy and what's not. And calling the current government maniacs is a complete overstatement compared to the crimes the US has conducted over the past 50 years, while Iran hasn't started any wars for atleast two centuries. So off he goes, out of Iraq to France where the world media and a lot of exiled Iranian's thrust him into the limelight, money was pouring in and support for Khomenei rose immensely by the Iranians sick to the back teeth of the CIA installed and protected Shah. Khomenei never intended to raise the people in Iraq, he was quite happy quietly studying and would have prob died there if left alone.
