    Thanks man! Thank you so much copym3 for your uploads on chomsky!!!
    Striking that it is Harold Pinter that gives the introduction. I have to learn his pieces right now for my work.
    THANK YOU!
    Alex.

    Big fan of Noam but I did have to chuckle when @6:33 I heard the great linguist misspeak and say Rehearse rather than Rehash. lol

      Yeah the Pirate has one ship, the Emperor has 200 ships and can do what he wants.

      A matter of scale. Like a single shot pistol vs a nuclear bomb.

    Immediate turn from truth, to a critic. Is truth critical?

    The TRUE Ruler/"MASTERMIND" of this world is Satan the Devil. He has appointed EVERY RULER in EVERY NATION (Luke 4:6 + 2Corinthians 4:4)But VERY FEW want to BELIEVE the TRUTH...

  • @nleobold
    @nleobold 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    No, he doesn't always tell the truth. He's wrong about many things.

    • @BackwardTravisty
      @BackwardTravisty 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The opposite of truth is a lie. Being wrong is not the same as a lie, even semantically.
      To lie is to disinform, that is to deceive with intent.
      To misinform is to make statements without intent to deceive.
      What are YOU saying?

  • @thevinend
    @thevinend 11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    ...and continues. Laws passed and Obama gathering critics. Enough critics we pass these laws onto? Jeb Bush? yikes

  • @jdlech
    @jdlech 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    The problem is that Chomsky's work has become sloppy and lazy over the last 20 years. His standards have slipped and that opens him up to criticism that would never have stood just 20 years ago.
    But nobody has both the intellectual and moral discipline to replace him.
    The two words that best describe Chomsky are 'intellectual', and 'moralist'.

    • @aldersgrens
      @aldersgrens 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Do you have any examples of how his work is "sloppy and lazy"?

    • @jdlech
      @jdlech 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Read one of his earlier works and then one of his later works. It's almost like two different people. The high standards that earned him his fame is just not present in his later works.
