    Thanks for reviewing a Touring model. Everyone's only reviewing the turbo, and I'm glad someone put a spotlight on this trim version. The turbo is cool and all, but I'm really, really interested in learning more about the cylinder deactivation Mazda's developing with this particular engine.

    I've almost had my 2017 Mazda6 Touring for a year now and it's the best decision I've made. Something about the way it drives has me always wanting to go for a spin, I never get tired of it. Great first car for someone starting their first job out of college, looking to treat themselves with something beautiful but also not going overboard. Biggest bang for your buck when it comes to this amazing machine. Highly recommend!

    We've had this exact car (2018 Mazda 6 Touring) since we got it in 2018, and it is a very nice car. The handling is amazing, and the steering is not overly light and very communicative (I think by virtue of being mounted directly to the sub-frame). It handles better than my old 2000 Acura Integra (and that is high praise). The interior is luxurious and everything is just in the right place. If I had any complaint is that the stereo that comes with the Touring is a bit weak (it is the non-Bose stereo). It does come with Apple CarPlay (I think Mazda made that standard in late 2018 and activated it on 2018 models sold before the change. When we got the car they said we would come back in a couple of months and they would activate it but a couple of months later I got in and the car had Apple CarPlay so it was an over the air update.
    Sure, it could be more powerful, but truth be told, I suspect the turbo engine would change the feel of the car. As it is it feels playful and nimble. To be honest, the power with the base 4 cylinder engine is more than adequate.
    It is perfect as it is (also, the Mazda dealership (Mazda of Concord CA) has been absolutely great). We've had it now 3+ years and have had absolutely no problem/issue whatsoever. The car just feels solid and high quality.

    I just bought the Touring a couple months ago, used. I. am. in. love. I was bummed it didn't have turbo (my previous car had a turbo engine), but this thing is quick enough and has plenty of power. I love driving this car. I just drove from MD to TN and the entire trip was great with the cruise control slowing down when I had my eyes off the road and almost rear ended trucks and cars. Wow. It sped back up too. Neat. After driving a Sonic hatchback this is a huge upgrade and it feels super spacious. I still can't figure out how to use the sport button. Mazda added Apple Car Play for free btw. This is a GREAT used car to buy.

    I test drove a 2018 mazda6 touring for a week. Prior to that, I had a rental 2020 Carolla for 43 days. I ended buying a 2018 VW Passat R-line over the mazda6. The 6 has great handling. Thats about it. It looks pretty good in person. The front end and headlights look dope. I just didn't like it that much. I liked the Passat, that Ive owned for about a month now, a lot better though. I don't really know why either. The mazda6 doesn't do much wrong. It's slow. A 2.0t Passat feels much faster and more responsive, especially 20-35 40-55 etc. And it gets better gas mileage.

    • @GRyders
      @GRyders  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nice. Honestly I agree with your decision because the problem I had with the Mazda six as well thinking back was it was too slow not get that great gas mileage and it was kind of small considering it’s competitors are much bigger and get better gas mileage. I had an opportunity to get get a six myself a couple years ago and I chose not to get it because of those reasons even though it does drive really well.

    Excellent captures of the car itself. The 6 already looks good but it's nice when someone catches it at just the right angle. That portion of road where you sped off and kept curving around, you should continue to use it and make it a signature spot for your videos. Maybe think of creative ways to use it. Seems like a beautiful spot for great angle captures, slo-mo shots, and who doesn't like to hear the engine speeding off? ... Keep up the good work 👍

      I haven't spent much time with the Accord, I have spent a few days with both the Camry and 6, and I would choose the 6. I like the handling and the size of the 6. The Accord and Camry feel too big on the road, but they are great cars.

      Do you think the 6 will change in 2019 or it'll get facelift?

    • @GRyders
      @GRyders  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Between the Camry and the 6, the Camry is way more isolated. The 6 is more engaging to drive so isolation is something that the Mazda didn't focus on as much, but it is still very isolated but the Camry is better isolated.

    • @williamkimeria3228
      @williamkimeria3228 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We have a 2018 Mazda 6 touring (same as in the review). The stereo is pretty anemic, almost no bass. That is my only criticism of this car, everything else about it is absolutely brilliant (absolutely gorgeous, high quality materials, quiet, amazing handling, Apple CarPlay etc). And the ability to switch between normal mode and sport (which adjusts the engine response AND suspension) is a huge plus. And it has features you'd expect in a much more expensive car (adaptive cruise control, auto high beams etc)
