Great technique, but looks a little ‘overcooked’ for me, especially the fuselage panels.
👍
Having followed you for along time, and hold you in high regard for your engineering! I find my artistic beliefs no where near the same as yours! I hope the camera adds at least 50% to the darkness. I would certainly be having a word with a ground crew that let a fighter get into this condition
🤣🤣 yea doesn’t look the same in person. Camera struggles to show what it actually looks like.
Very nice jet IDF F-16 fighting falcon IAF love jets. Nice detailing.
Thank you very much!
Well said, Johnathan, Wheatering is another chapter. I don't use Airbrush for it; I do handwork. It can go wrong very badly very quickly. I believe less is more. 😄
Thanks Blasius!
Seriously that's some fantastic work as usual. That paint is so sick and the antique style is so cool. Nice build❤
Thank you!
Amazing work, sir. Don't worry about others' opinions about your style. It is your channel. You are free to do what you think is best, and most people here appreciate very much you sharing your talents with others.
I appreciate that!
Glad I saw this, recently did weathering on my Freewing Twin 80mm A-10 and I couldnt agree more. Weathering is very subjective, and it does look darker on camera
Thanks for watching!
Completely transformed absolutely amazing…Thank you Magic 🙏🏻
You are so welcome! Thank you!
Words can't express how much I love this channel! Bravo sir!
Wow, thank you! I appreciate that!
First rule of weathering, restraint!!! Looks great!!!
Thank you!
Thanks for taking us thru the process, I cannot wait to give it a go.
Thank you!
At 1st I didn't like the ideal of smearing paint all over it,BUT WOW...looks used ...Koko gotta love it can't wait to see it fly. Nice job Jonathan 👏 👍
Thank you! 😊
So glad we got to watch this process. A couple months ago when you unboxed this I didn't like its look. I've changed my mind
Thanks! Yea it totally transforms it!
Nice job Jon, The oil wash technic looks great. Jet looks so much better.😊
Thank you very much!
I would like to see some thinner paint in wind blown areas almost down to the aluminum. You will have to use some silver, and green primer. Flying in clouds a lot puts a lot of ware on the paint. Raindrops are very abrasive especially around salt water.
Thank you! Cool Suggestion!
Nice job young man, the only thing that I found to be out of place is the paint scheme looked to new for that type of weathering, other than that aspect fantastic job. 👍
Thank you!
Sempre top parabéns esse trabalho que vc faz é lindo D+
Thank you!
Great I love it looks amazing. This Video is helping me on my F18 .
Great to hear! Thanks for watching!
Beautiful work Jonathan 😊
Thank you! Cheers!
Love this tutorial! Beautiful work!
Thank you so much!
looks AMAZING looks more real life great job
Thank you!
Nice job,but the weathering on the fuselage and other vertical surfaces would run down and not with the airflow because gravity when the plane is parked
Thank you!
WOW, what a difference. Absolutely amazing.
Thanks Craig. Totally agree! Goes from a toy to a plane!
Now what is there which u cannot do on a rc plane, Sir? 👌👋👋👋
LOL. Lots still! Always learning!
In the real world of aviation we never want to see a smoking rivet. It means the robots are getting loose. A crash coming. We do see a lot of places where the debris from the runway and wind starts wearing the paint thin and sometimes we see the aluminum. The bottom sides of all planes are always the grimiest. Oils and guns go there first. You can see some of this watching YT aircraft carriers.
Thank you!!
Looks great brother 👌 see you soon 😊
Thank you! Yes very soon! 😎
Great job just enough to look used sometimes they can be over done but this is perfect. 😊😊 Keep at it. 😊
Thank you! 😊
The IDF seems to really be slacking on cleaning their jets :-)
HAHA. Fresh back from a long dirty mission.
The solvent is a bit harsh don’t you think? Lacquer thinner? Man, that’s some strong stuff. I understand the top coat is urethane but wow! No way I am taking that chance. Mineral spirits definitely. I once was preparing a surface from a jet manufacture that I won’t mention. I was using prep solvent, it wiped away the nomenclature. In the end it actually made it look very realistic but never again. Mineral spirits for me.
Depends on the aircraft for sure! Having worked on/with a substantial number of Skymaster aircraft, it works great! Other manufacturers with different paint and clears may require some modifications.
I love it
Thank you!
Please tell me were David has the money from to own all of these beautiful airplanes. I am asking because I saw the livestream from 3 days ago
😎
Weathering? .. living in western Canada, you should be a natural.
HAHA! Well Said!
Way too high a contrast for the shading and streaking.
Absolutely! Camera does not provide an accurate representation
I used to do plastic scale planes in the ‘70 and ‘80s, now I fly RC too. I frequently observed the tendency of modellers to overdo the weathering, to the point that it looks “fake”. IMHO one should refer to actual pictures, possibly of that exact subject when applying weathering marks. This finished F16 is overdone and looks fake, to me of course.🤷🏻♂️
Thanks for watching! Looks much different in person!
Love this jet F-16 Israeli Air Force IDF very nice looking. 🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱❤😊 Nice touches😀😁🤩🤓😎💯
Thank you!
You lost my sub because you sent a video to my feed that I would have to subscribe to see. If you have subs and videos that are "Members Only", that is one thing. But sending one to me as an advertisement just to see if I will subscribe? That is just scummy.
