The Rockets should wait. Not just for the financial reasons, but because the both of them are liabilities in Udoka’s defensive system. Despite Sengun having good handles and nasty passing skills for a big man…he’s a negative on defense. Along with the fact that he’s not a good rim protector. It’s very rare that a team makes a run for a championship with a center who’s a liability on defense. But I do find it funny how a majority of the Rockets fan base love to talk about players having to be able to play defense. But when it comes to Sengun…defense goes out the window.
James Harden was way more of an offensive force and put this team on his back and carried them to the playoffs. But the Rockets fan based biiiich’d and moaned about his defense. But when it comes to Sengun’s defense, not a peep.🤭
Harden had the whole team built around him. when he kicked out to shooter those guys knocked it down. We were also top 10 defence with sengun on the floor. Remember when everyone bitched about jokics defence and they won the chip? Good times.
I dont think your criticism is fair when he is the only guy on offense who reliably creates his own shot and open looks for others. We were just bad at shooting which is why ime and the front office chose a shooter for our number 3 pick
