Everyone says the same thing about this Whiskey. You can't beat it. I finally found a guy to bring me some back from Baton Rouge. I can't wait to try it.
We have been looking for this since we heard about it and I just came across it. Now I can't wait to crack it open. Great review for a local distillery. Love this.
Great review; LOVE to see when a little-known label hits a home run. Regarding your question at the end…. American Single Malts have been fascinating me lately… any blind tasting, or samplings of ASMs, would ROCK! (Well, your videos rock anyway….)
I love it as well. I've tried the same batch you have there, and it's really interesting. This has been a long awaited release from a local distillery that really exceeded my expectations for a rice whiskey.
Bluffton Whiskey by Burnt Church Distilling is made with Carolina Gold rice. I have heard it was contract distilled by Jeptha Creed here in KY. It's pretty darn tasty. I keep a bottle in my stash.
It is extremely good. While technically it is not a bourbon it tastes just like one. I think right now it is my favorite whiskey/bourbon and I have tasted a lot of different bourbons.
Nice review. I grew up in the Louisiana rice country, I learned to swim in rice irrigation canals fed by deep ice-cold water wells in Allen Parish. I am just disappointed it isn't made by a Thibodeaux or a Fruge'. 🙂
Japan makes a number of rice whiskies, Ohishi & Fukano for example, but sake is a completely different product category, since it is fermented and not distilled.
Awesome review. The batch 2 is phenomenal. Glad to see you reviewing our local distillery down here in Louisiana.
We love it out here in Cajun country!!
Love it!!! Showing my home area some love!

Friend brought me this back from his trip home to LA. As a bourbon drinker I had low expectations but it really impressed me!
I had my doubts when I first saw it, but glad you reviewed it & enjoyed it! Who knew?
Is there a place i can order it online?
Representing Louisiana! I cant wait for future batches
Have you tried Old 55 from Indiana? They produce all of their own distillate and have a 100% sweet corn whiskey.
High on my list to find!

Love American Single Malt. Westland Distiller. Wish I could find more of their products.
Can’t wait to try this. Their vodka goes great in a Bloody Mary.
Tried JT Meleck blind and was blown away.
me too

Nice review on a really exciting project. Love this whiskey and can't wait to see what is up next for them. #JTMelek
Sounds interesting but not available in the ChiTown area unfortunately.

Nice review. What’s the story with the boots behind you? They look like the ones I wear everyday out at Fort Knox. Keep doing what you do!

It’s made by Mike Fruge
@@salisburycreative Well that is appropriate!!
Fred please review SoFL The Whiskey Witch for the love of God. Also, Leopold 5yr BiB bourbon. They're both so interesting!

Is this a “Straight Whiskey”?
