I know it is. I didn't even know body sparring was a thing until I saw a bunch of Marines training new recruits through aggressive body sparring. Full force punches to the gut. Toughens up the recruits by exposing them to real hand to hand combat. And boosts their self esteem when they've fought multiple times.
The best way for people that just go cross guard and block up is target their arms, after a ton of punches to their arms it will hurt to much to raise their arms and even when they do punch it will be weak because their arms hurt so much
Love this kind of sparring, no brain damage and just excellent conditioning for toughness and stamina
Believe me this shit is hard training

If they cross block then they are not doing it right. Need to still keep hands in defense positions
Nice gym. How did you finance it? I’m trying to open my boxing gym here in Florida
How’s that going?? I’m from florida train at ATT on east colonial would love to learn some straight boxing
Why do they have head gear if it's only body sparring?
There's a high risk of being head butted by mistake during a body sparring
They probably full sparred right after
also punches can slip up off the shoulders or even clean accidental head shots happen
accidental headbutts
why they wearing headguards 4 bodysparring lol
Punchs can slip off body and hit and head, also clash of head can lead to cuts and bruises, and some rounds they will change to head shots as well.
Nice guard
