I know it’s insanely frustrating. I’ve told doctors for more than 20 years that I’m in a incredible amount of pain, and only now that I’ve raised issues about infertility is anyone taking me seriously. I think they’ve just been trained that hormonal therapy is the best treatment. I’ve met some wonderful doctors who are really trying their best, but their education system has failed them. I think if there is any blame to be placed it’s 1. On the educators, and 2. Women’s health and obstetrics should really probably be different fields/specialties.

My endo pain at points has made me do some crazy things before, like sitting in really hot baths mid summer or having heat packs so hot that I burnt myself to deal with my endo pain. My teachers haven’t really ever believed me and it sucks because it’s a medical diagnosis I’ve had and now I’m stress how life will be when I enter the work force if I still have to deal with endo cause horrid flare ups where I can’t do anything but cry and bleed
Edit: I’ve just broken my wrist and waited 2 days to go to the hospital because it hurt way less then my cramps

Clean up your diet. No sugar, dairy, wheat, coffee and also go light on meat because there’s a lot of hormones in it. But really lay off the sugar and dairy. My pain went down a lot just doing that. Also, develop a business because maintaining a 40+/ hr a week job will be very challenging

I wish doctors would help! I take unhealthy amounts of ibuprofen (1600 mg) and super primrose (about 2,600 mg) in a day just to be able to walk when the pain is too much and the pain goes from my uterus, bladder, bowl, lungs and honestly my entire stomach. Incorrect cause of endometriosis. We are born with a gene as an embryo and the endometriosis cells grow wherever they begin as an embryo. Orlitz theory. Check out Dr Redwines video of the origination. They have a number of the chromosome. I've studied this for over 28 yrs.
The vaginal ultrasound that shows a rigid, unmoving uterus....or endometriosis causing adhesions at the cul de sac is probably one of the less invasive and most helpful tool in addressing possible endometriosis....but a laparoscopy is the best...with a colorectal surgeon working beside a endometriosis expert.

Retrograde menstruation is NOT the cause. That is an outdated theory. Most research recently indicates a genetic component. It has been found to be present in fetuses. Can I get info link about the hormone suppression eluded to re the differences of the brain level vs. the ovary level? I've been on period suppression for almost 20 years. I've been on the "mini-pill" single hormone for maybe 2 years (I started having issued with period suppression maybe 7 years ago, but no complete period, only some breakthrough type stuff on the mini pill. But after gaslighting from doctors that I was just having "IBS" it's not obvious this is endo again and probably only resolving with laparoscopy.
Re this great presentation, if I have the laparoscopy procedure, I may as well have the best combination of care since I'm in my forties now and won't be having bio children. My husband has fertility issues on his end, and my medical situation can't tolerate everything they do if we use medical intervention to get pregnant, so not worth it. We've been married ~12 years and explored possible surgical solutions and medical "menopause", and thank goodness the mini-pill worked. I have active PTSD and other issues like what is now long-term undiagnosed B12 pernicious anemia. The idea of drug based or surgical based menopause with those symptoms active in diagnosed less than a year ago was terrifying.
