@@brandonsnider5871 she's also condescending in general with people will automatically become defensive to and shut down and won't listen to you no matter what. She's not a good debater at all...Like for instance, when that woman said "well you're able-bodied, I'm in a wheelchair" she just says "I understand that but we're speaking about just women vs men " and they started going off in circles...she couldn't explain it in a way to get them to directly answer it...But Amala said it perfectly when she said "my response would be what barriers do you have that a disabled man doesnt?" There's really no way to circle around that response lol. It was a PERFECT point and response and I wish someone would have thought of that.

What I also find funny is when Pearl was talking to Mindie (the disabled woman) about the lack of barriers, she was talking to her as if she didn't have a disability at all. In Pearl's eyes Mindie was just a woman, not a disabled woman. Which correct me if I'm wrong don't people just want to be seen as people now instead of throwing labels on things. It wasn't until Mindie then re-introduced her disability into the conversation that it became part of it. For a group of people who don't want to be identified solely on one characteristic, they seem to bring it up more than everyone else.

    • @avivastudios2311

@@avivastudios2311 And then subsequently derail the conversation from the point Pearl was trying to make. I get that topics can mean varied things to different people, but when talking about such a broad concept, people need to focus on the unifying characteristic that brought them there to speak. Which is that (most) of them are women. But it seems we as a culture have turned to a very individualistic view and grouping people together based on common characteristics is seen as taboo unless that group happens to be white people.

In fact it was considered a form of "harassment" in the company's definition of harassment. To avoid this, people had to be referred to by their dumb job title. Then why are men excluded from womens sports or why don't we make all sports gender neutral? Shouldn't a gender fluid person ONLY play against the gender they're presently identifying as? What about sexual harrassment, if they identify or are presently identifying as male, or as attracted to the victims gender, shouldn't trans be treated as and as such given the full recourse of the law, judgement and scrutiny as the standards that have been layed out for men? As a trans person are you able to biologically have children? No, then why the fuck are talking about pro choice? Do you think that you're against the idea of "pretty privilege" which exists subconsciously even between heterosexual same sex groups as an inherent social hierarchy (we're more likely to listen to people with attractive traits, probably part of why Amala has 818K subs) because no guy wants you, you'll never bear their children and no girl does either as your basically a simp who can't change a car tyre or make a fire? No more living in confusion, no more hoping. If you want to know for sure you're going to heaven when you die, just turn from your guilty conscience. Follow God to the best of your knowledge. So if anything makes your spirit uncomfortable stay away from it. But people shouldn't overthink their relationship with God, just focus on today. Not all Christians are on the same level but just don't plan or linger in what you learned is sin. The Holy Bible states that anyone can turn to Jesus, even people who sold their soul to the devil, like witches, psychics, sorcerers, satanists, people who participate in witchcraft. But your life here on this earth is the only time you have to make up your mind.
At this point, you have to believe Jesus was more than a messenger or a good person. He was sent by God to be Savior of the world and to die for our sins. He was crucified, buried, resurrected three days later, he walked the earth for forty days then ascended into heaven. There were eyewitnesses who recorded events that took place in his life and resurrection. Information concerning Jesus' life and crucifixion was passed down through written history and oral tradition. Ask Jesus to forgive you for every sin you have committed. It doesn't matter how you do it, but just tell him that you repent. You turn from your old wicked ways and turn to him. Tell God that you accept his son Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior...
For now on, don't plan or linger in what you learned is against the Bible. Use what you learned so far, and apply it to your life. Once you reach a certain age, your conscience tells you what's right and what's wrong. If you can't picture Jesus giving in/ or behaving a certain way, do not give in. Not every sin will be specifically listed in scripture but you will know it's sin when you feel the guilt. To give you a good understanding of what sin is, it's lying, profanity, extortion, threatening, anger, drinking, masturbation, dressing immodestly, seduction, homosexuality, sex outside of marriage, dressing immodestly, unfaithful in relationships or marriage, trying to intentionally get high, child abuse/neglect, trying to publicly humiliate someone or put their sin on a stage, fighting, bullying, biased, prejudice, revenge, retaliation, intimidation, harassment, antagonizing, assault, violence, murder, pedophilia, racism, stealing, pornography, sorcery, abortion, encouragement/support for sin, hypocritical judgment and judging by appearance. You can also read Leviticus 20:1-17 and 1 Corinthians 6:9-10. God requires us to make righteous judgments such as; encouraging people to live righteously according to his commandments and standing up for what is morally right with empathy. And always keep in mind that any spiritual meditation is very dangerous if you're not focused on the spirit of Jesus. Sin can no longer be your intentions. The sin is the act, so when you have evil thoughts running through your mind. Cast it out, meditate on uprightness. But when you do end up sinning at some point, ask Jesus to forgive you. Jesus knows you can be in tough situations that involve sin but you have to come up with a plan. Don't get comfortable in sin and do your best to get out of it. You have to hate sin, continue to fight out of it. Jesus knows if you're really trying, he knows your intentions. He knows if you really hate sin.
Forgive others just as Jesus has forgiven you. Unforgiveness will make you vengeful and God doesn't want vengeance in your heart. God doesn't want you riled up over people you have no control over. Don't let people have control over your mind. Forgiveness does not mean you have to put up with people, of course you're going to have to keep your distance because you know what they're about. God just wants you to let go of this grudge, this retaliation, so you can have peace. When you forgive, you're taking a big weight off your shoulders. Forgive and move on with your life. God just wants you to have control over your mind and move on with your life because your anger and emotions can keep you from thinking clearly or making wise decisions.
Do your best to stay away from people who you know are intentionally sinning, you can help them but do not come into agreement or follow what they're doing. Do not deny Jesus, don't be ashamed. You might not have all the knowledge but at this point you have to be willing to stand up for him, don't back down. Continue to humble yourself to learn more about God and keep striving to do better, even through the trials and tribulations.
Baptism in water is very important, it is an outward declaration of the decision that we have made for Christ. It identifies us with Christ's death, burial and resurrection. But, person can go in the water a dry devil and come out a wet devil. If a person truly receives Jesus in his heart and drops dead before the baptismal service, without a doubt, heaven will be his eternal home. The thief on the cross can attest to that. The only unforgivable sin is never receiving Jesus as savior and Lord. When the bible speaks of blaspheming against the holy spirit, it is in reference to the prideful pharisees who were attributing the works of Jesus to the devil and trying to entrap the lord. It is widely believed and I take this stand also that Jesus knowing the condition of the hearts of those particular men, was referencing them and not all men. These verses of scripture must be kept in proper context. Do not isolate the scriptures, but read the scriptures before and after, know the setting of the verses and know who the author is talking to. Before a man comes to Christ, he is capable of doing anything. To suggest that a person can commit a sin that God is not willing to forgive him for undermines the entire gospel message. Jesus came to save a lost and dying world. God has so much love and compassion for you but he can't accept you until you accept him. So when God judges you, he is not choosing whether you go to heaven or hell because you already made it to heaven based on your conscience decision to follow him. God will judge you based on your works you did on this earth to determine what rewards you will get in heaven. God knows you can do this, your emotions will have you thinking that it's harder than what it really is. He will forgive anyone for anything but they have to truly regret it and want to be forgiven. I know it might feel like God is overreacting but if you just take a look back at all the evil things you did in your life you'll realize how wonderful God is to make a way for you..

I have a friend who has been a hiring manager for a company for 10 years and she has mentioned how nearly every man they hire comes back to negotiate a higher salary whereas woman generally don’t. Both she and my husband were encouraging me to negotiate a higher pay rate when I was in a hiring process a couple years ago and I absolutely didn’t want to because of how awkward I felt. I went ahead and did it anyway and sure enough, my higher rate was accepted. I feel most women think the way I do and just want to avoid any general awkwardness so they go ahead and accept the first offer. So no, this big pay gap conspiracy isn’t a discrimination issue… it’s simply an issue of men generally feeling more comfortable asking for what they want as opposed to women. I hope it changes and more and more women start to do the same.

These people need to take the emotion out of their view of reality and use critical thinking when cultivating their views. I know when 911 happened people became very hateful towards people from the Middle East. I lived in NY at the time and the people I met from the Middle East were lovely people. So that is how I viewed them instead of listening to the hateful narrative the media and society at the time was pushing.

To me the fact that Eli and another biological man is included in the discussion about feminism is ridiculous to me. I don't understand what feminist are fighting for now. We wanted to vote, our own sports division, equal pay, to be able to work in any profession, to go to any college and to decide if we want to marry or have children what right is it that they think we don't have that men do. Women actually have more rights in divorce and child custody even if they are horrible mothers. If they think women's rights are so bad here in the US, they should go to another country like Iran. I got so tired of the victim mentality of these people. The abortion debate as a woman that had to have one 19 years ago is a very touchy subject for me. I don't think that the subject of abortion would have gotten so out of hand if women weren't using it as birth control. I do agree there are circumstances that warrant a legal abortion but not just because someone didn't use protection. I had to have an abortion because of medical issues that would have complicated my life and the pregnancy so I didn't have a choice.

I agree with you on all accounts. I have one thing to add though. Women aren’t allowed to go topless at pools and on the beach. We have been socially conditioned to believe breast are sex objects but they are not sex organs. A woman with a double mastectomy can still get pregnant. Breasts are for babies. And yes, we use them in sex, but we use hands too, and no one has to run around wearing gloves all the time. I think it should be the same rules for all. Cover up the sex organs and let people decide what they want to do with the rest

I never felt I wasn't attractive bcus I was black and trust me. I had self-confidence issues. But it wasn't because I was black. My mother always told me I was beautiful, not "beautiful black girl", just beautiful. Not one single guy talked to me from elementary to h.s, but I never thought it was because I was black. I never felt ugly or lesser than because of my skin. Why, because the black girls that I was friends with were getting dates! Colorism was not in my household. And we are not at ALL light skinned. Plus, I don't understand how we're not seen as beautiful when there's a black woman on the arm of damn near every race of man lol?!? I don't accept beauty standards, especially today. I've never worn makeup, Ipreferr jeans and a t-shirt than the main woman fit. Just be happy and stop caring who people think you should look like. Premising that I agree with Pearl and Sidney, i want to specify one thing: if some movement is about everyone, you cannot take away an entire half of the equation in debates because you need their perspective to achieve a fair result. And that's why I think (personal opinion here) feminism should pretty much include everyone, the only one thing done right in this completely useless and time-wasting panel to me is that there were at least 2 biological men (and it's not even enough for their purpose). If feminist debates cannot have any man participating, then feminism is absolutely not fighting for everyone (which I think it is exactly the case nowadays, but then be honest and say it clearly XD). Sorry if I made some language mistakes, i don't have much occasions to practice it, i hope i did express clearly my point XD.

It's always so so nice to find people on/from the left who are willing to discuss. Especially those willing to put their feelings aside and seek truth and logical arguments. I think so many of the good things we have in life come about because we are willing to discuss the pros and cons and not just what is better but what might be best. Best wishes.

I fully agreed with Pearl in this case because the statistics don’t lie. The majority of abortions are not for medical emergencies or for reconciling with sexual abuse; they are for those who have undesired pregnancies because of their own consequences. I have seen many women in my life who end up pregnant and the first thing they say is “let me get my 1400 or X amount of money and drive to the abortion clinic to get rid of the baby.” I will never understand the avoidance of responsibility when the same ones complain about men not taking care of their kids. I would rather argue that there should be more testing of birth control options that are not harmful to women’s bodies. Yet so much time and effort is being expended to try and get people interested in things they legitimately do not want to do or have any interest in.
He did have 2 female coworkers out of probably 200 workers overall. They couldn't do half the work either because they weren't strong enough, and honestly the only thing the women were better at was the few instances when smaller hands made things easier, but it's not as if the men couldn't still get it done... yet the women are so sought after for statistics on a report despite actually being less capable.

@@miriamlana833 Trans men don't win in competition if they do, its lucky, But I would like to see how many are winning and how often, because it's not very likely they are ALWAYS winning, like trans women are. There is no problem there because they are not unnaturally winning. Trans women still have higher levels of testosterone, and need I remind you men's bodies have more muscular mass and a bigger bone structure, there for trans women are stronger and bigger than biological women. They still have an unfair advantage. You can argue all you want but it is sexist and unfair to allow biological men to compete against women. Now, I am not saying have trans women compete against men, because even though they still have higher testosterone, it's not as much as a man after a few years on hormones. They can have their own teams and heat to make it fair. The whole reason we have women and men teams is because it is unfair for women to compete against men.

      Look, it's very simple.
Men and women are different, right down to every cell in their body.
It is more than just hormones, putting a biological man on feminizing hormones for any length of time will not change the physical advantages that men naturally have. More muscle mass, stronger bones, faster twitch muscles, more twitch muscle fibres, taller, heavier, generally more durable. This is what differentiates men from women in physical stature.
      That's simple biology.
No matter how many drugs you take, when someone digs up your skeleton in 100 years they will know immediately if you were a man or a woman.
If you're in denial of these biological realities then there's no helping you because the premise of any argument you make is not grounded in reality. If you're this wrong, fundamentally, about the world we live in then you're doomed to be ignorant.
Trans men, aka women, winning against biological men in sports is relatively rare. I don't have a problem with it because the trans men are choosing to fight uphill from the start. If they win, its because they are an incredible physical specimen not because their biological makeup gives them a massive physical advantage.
When men go into women's sports it's an unfair contest skewed towards the men entirely. It's insane.

Sydney did great. Unfortunately, I've watched a lot of Pearls stuff, and I wasn't impressed. She had it too easy with these women - all she had to do was spit a few well known talking points for everyone to applaud her. Put Pearl in a situation where she's actually challenged and she becomes just like these women she's 'destroying'. Sydney's answers were actually nuanced and well thought out, so to her I take my hat off. I wish more people would take the time to analyse Pearl rather than just assuming if she's anti feminism then it automatically follows that she must know what she's doing. This is a woman who believes only virgins deserve monogamy, because if you're not one, it means you 'cheated' on your FUTURE husband, yes, even though you didn't know he existed at the time. From all I've seen of Pearl and her show, she's incredibly juvenile and her takes are unintelligent, nonsensical rubbish and quite frankly, the only thing that saved her here was that it's not hard to look good against other irrational people when you have a list of other people's talking points to parrot on issues that you don't actually understand yourself - I'd like to see her debate an intelligent feminist like Louise Perry or Kellie Jay Keen - let's see how good she looks then! And yes, I am a conservative woman myself.

My first real job as a teenager was in welding (I took welding in HS for 2 yrs). I worked construction building, remodeling, and repairing homes, later opening our own construction company. After that I went into Firefighting and ended with running my husbands trucking company. Not once did I ever have to prove myself any more than a man had to.
I was 18 when I applied to a welding company that had 3 shops. The first shop didn’t hire me but the Forman of another shop swooped in while I was packing up my stuff and immediately hired me for his shop. His exact words were “I’d rather hire a woman, y’all make better welders. You’re more detail oriented.” That seems like a benefit of being a woman.
In construction and welding the men constantly attempted to do the heavy lifting and “hard stuff” for me. I was not expected to do those things. Another benefit here.
In firefighting the women had MUCH lower physical agility standards. This also appears to be a benefit.
Luckily it didn't take long for the men to realize I could do the job the same as them.
In trucking my husband stopped being the communication point for our drivers, brokers, shippers, receivers, and even repair shops. I was able to negotiate better rates with less hassle. It was easier and less painful for me to handle getting an earlier appt at shippers and receivers. Drivers overall responded better to me. For years I watched my husband handle those things. He was always polite and always cooperative, always more even tempered than I ever was. It wasn't until my female voice or face was there that things went smoother. THIS IS A BENEFIT OF BEING A WOMAN.

You have a really healthy mindset when interpreting men's reactions to your work. Many women in your position would be raving about how they were victims of prejudice because men didn't expect the same performance from them, like it was condescending. I'm not saying there aren't condescending men, ofc there are, but we don't have to assume they all are, especially because many are just trying to be attentive and not burthen women .
I once was on a training session on building maintenance, and I got selected with another girl to go to plumbing. After that a man came to us praising our job, and saying how nice it is to see women doing that job too. Honestly, it felt bittersweet, because I wanted to already be past that phase, and for everyone to consider it normal and not necessary to point it out as a good improvement. But hey, we need to go through that phase, and his mindset was in the right place and he was kind 🤷🏻‍♀️

And let's keep in mind that to her "being listened to" means being "believed and validated".
She isn't for equal rights to speech, she's for censoring people who think differently than how she's been conditioned to "think". Something that is often missing from the feminist conversations is the experience of mothers. I am from Canada where we have one year of parental leave paid by the government but I know in other countries there’s no parental leave or leaves that are very short periods of time. Mothers need to be better supported in taking care of their children especially single mothers, or parents who don’t have family nearby to help them. Also breast-feeding education in the west is abysmal, not only in terms of learning how to breast-feed, but also support around challenges that occur as breast-feeding continues over months, or years, and ways to wean your baby off of breast-feeding. Very little support exists for that and often mothers end up feeding their babies in ways that they wouldn’t have chosen had they had the correct support. Also, the pay gap issue comes into play here as women lose income and socioeconomic status when they become mothers. There is pressure to keep up a thriving career while raising children, and while some mothers may choose this route others may be forced, or want, to prioritize one over the other. There should be supports in place for them to be able to do that. I have no idea what the solution would be to this problem. There are probably several different solutions needed, only that it seems to be something that’s absent from feminist discussions in general

I wish they had brought up some of those things, because that would have forced Pearl to expose herself and her beliefs that women shouldn't be outside the home anyway. I hate that people keep applauding this woman because it seems as if the assumption is that if it's anti feminist then it's automatically good. As a conservative woman, and not a feminist myself, Pearl is truly awful.

How is being a “disabled” woman have anything to do with feminism? Don’t disabled men share those same issues? How is being a “black”. Woman have anything to do with feminism? Don’t black men share those same issues?

As a woman, I negotiated to being paid $4 more an hour than their first offer. The way you go into it is important. Women are more agreeable than men and that has been studied. Women just work differently. As a woman, it is important to be both mindful of your worth and mindful of what you want out of life and hold to it.
I don’t think that outside sources create barriers for women; we create barriers for ourselves in one way or another.

Exactly, the fact that any of them would sit down with men (pretending to be women) and have this debate is proof of what you say.

My mom is older, disabled, and overweight (not unlike the lady in the wheelchair in this video) and she accidentally wage negotiated herself to getting paid over a dollar an hour more at a new job. It's possible.

That’s true. Negotiation is key to ensure equitable pay. By law woman have the right to fair pay but many ladies don’t feel bold enough . Well done 👍🏼

Some things are a barrier no matter if we try are not, but its important to try, and if it doesn't work, try a different approach.
