His Football IQ is great, his ability to look off defenders and just has a great sense of knowing how to fit a ball in a zone window. Very much like Drew Brees and Kurt Warner used to play. His accuracy is probably one of the best in the league. He will continue to excel. I never doubted this kid.

The problem of Tua's situation is, that Alabama, due to mostly inferior opponents and superior recruited support players, sends highly capable but also overrated QB's to the league. So expectations were way to high and he wasn't in any way suited to be the savior, here Herbert would be far more ready. Tua wasn't bad, but definitively not pro-ready at the start, the way it seemed in the dominant Alabama system. It is consequent, that now, after 2 years of learning and with a capable HC, he's reaching for his potential.
