I'm so saddened. The biggest loss is to his family, but I was just waiting for him to be the first to break 2 hours for the marathon. He would have done it, but the God above has greater purposes for him.
Been watching the Fogdog for a few years. Great channel and delighted for him, he has put serious work into this and has had ups and downs. Great to see him running so well.
Yared hands down is the best American middle distance athlete heading into Paris; what makes him dangerous is his consistency is unmatched. Very impressed by the youngin Adam for keeping pace as well.
What is truly mind blowing about Hobbs is that he has also climbed 5.14c. For folks who know both running and climbing his combined abilities are truly off the charts. I am pretty sure there has never been anyone within miles (sorry) of him in this regard. Exceptional athlete.
Please acknowledge Cam Myers from OZ. 3.55 for Mile at 16 and now 3.52 at 17....just a week after 3.34 1500 plus a 3.33 1500 last year. Love your stuff at TRP.
Adam really blew my mind 3:48 is what we expect from mills he can for sure run 3:46 mile and sub 3:30 1.500 outdoors tho what Nuguse can do in the Mile is blowing my mind he ran litterly 3:43 within ONE second of the World Record by middle distance goat el Guerrouj 🇲🇦
Can't believe I'm about to write this, but given the talent on display in this event, I'm not even sure Jakob is certain to get a medal in Paris nevermind Gold. On paper he's the quickest in the 1500m, but there's so many names on the list that could have a great year at this point. (The elephant in the room being Katir is now gone)
for those who don't know, he was suspended by the Athletics Integrity Unit after his third whereabouts strike on doping tests. He supposedly hasn't been evading or failing any doping tests, but he has had three strikes regarding out-of-competition testing in logging his whereabouts.
George Mills sub 350 and sub 13. Impressive. There is another individual that comes to mind that was close, the great Eliud Kipchoge. Before becoming the GOAT marathoner, he ran 3:50.4 and a 12:46. Amazing range!
Kejelcha ran 3:47 mile and 12:41 5.000m Jakob run 3:43 Mile and 12:46 5.000m Lagat aswell 3:47 Mile and 12:55 5.000m Komen 3:46 Mile and 5.000m 12:38 And El Guerrouj obviously 3:43 Mile and 5.000m in 12:55 or some Incredible athlete Mills has become and great athletes to compare
Another exceptional video. Great highlight on Fogg. He has given a lot of us a view behind the scenes of what it takes on a daily basis to get to his current level. Great to see all of his work starting to pay off.
I think you could and should do a video on yared nuguse - explain to me how while missing two drug tests he dropped his mile pr from 3:53 to 3:43 in one year - what other athlete in the history of the sport has done this? I’m listening
What is crazy is that both of the british guys in this race who ran sub 3:50 might not even make the olympics because Josh Kerr, Jake Wightman, Eliot Gilles, Neil Gourley, Callum Elson, etc.
Show me the field where 124 🐐 are grazing and you are showing me a great generation. If one is in the age range of the runners you just spoke of Nostradamus? From the slowest to the fastest they can tell any of us that came before them they are the greatest generation of runners to date. I cannot contain my envy. What a great time to be alive. Nostradamus thank you. We asked for greatness but we would never have known what true greatness is with out you. To the generation behind this GOAT herd put 500 GOATS in the field when you all reach maturity. Because the GOATS in the year 2024 are going to put 200 Goats out there eating the sweetest grass. Louis Armstrong sang the song we sing in the field of dreams, "it is a wonderful world.'
Ingebrigtsen, Kerr and Wightman have to be the favorites coming into the olympics, but there are so many more great athletes to consider. First and foremost Nuguse, but also some "outsiders" like Kessler or the other guys in this video, or Cole Hocker. The depth of talent right now is incredible, but even so, I don't think the WR is gonna fall at the olympics.
No difference. It's just the name of the race. They often name races in honour of certain people that have died. The "Wanamaker Mile" is named after someone called Rodman Wanamaker. The "Bowerman Mile" is named after Bill Bowerman.
Hey guys big fan of the channel and jave been watching for a while. That being said I'm not actually that good at running and NEED yalls help. I figure a good portion of yall are decent runners. Basically I need to run 1.5 miles in 10 minutes for a upcoming job this summer on a Hotshot crew ( very high intensity and specialized Wildland Firefighter crew designed to handle the most intense and difficult field tasks in the wildland firefighting world) I'm a fantastic hiker but running has always been a weak point. Any training tips or workouts you guys might have to quickly improve stamina and running ability would be hugely appreciated. Thanks to anyone who helps
I'm not sure this race predicts anything about the outdoor season. Eamonn Coghlan held the WR in the indoor mile yet was famous for not performing well in outdoor championship miles.
And "Against all odds!" No disrespect - it must be hard coming up with novel ways to speak about these incredible athletes, especially given the volume of content you put out, and you do it extremely well. I love this channel and it has increased my enthusiasm for the sport!
I'm still sad about Kiptum. May he RIP. It's really not something that should have happened, he was the future of the marathon and would have been the first to break 2.
This must be equipment aided. All this is happening now with these new shoe composites. Or some sort of ped enhancement. All these runners making these jumps out of no where. Not possible with just training.
RIP Kelvin, you will be missed
I still can’t fathom that he is gone, he rose so fast, and went out just as quickly.😢
I'm so saddened. The biggest loss is to his family, but I was just waiting for him to be the first to break 2 hours for the marathon. He would have done it, but the God above has greater purposes for him.
Went out in the most boring way, too, a car crash
@@IisBlurrgosh man, have some compassion
@@IisBlurrwhat is wrong with you. Is something wrong in your head
FOGDOGGGGGGG!!!!!
The Fog Dog!!
From Australia to the UK.
Been watching the Fogdog for a few years. Great channel and delighted for him, he has put serious work into this and has had ups and downs. Great to see him running so well.

I didn’t know that but thank you for sharing. That’s certainly beyond impressive.
🤯
Yeah that's insane
Please acknowledge Cam Myers from OZ. 3.55 for Mile at 16 and now 3.52 at 17....just a week after 3.34 1500 plus a 3.33 1500 last year. Love your stuff at TRP.
Looks like he did :)
Yes, he must have been listening lol....very happy to see this. it was clearly in the pipeline.
Such a good run from Adam.
❤
Between your channel and TRP, this is what inspires me!
Adam really blew my mind

Adam fogg with the foggdog beats
USA 1500m trials will be particularly interesting. Lots of contenders.

Jakob is still Jakob
Can't count him out
I agree - he won’t even be the first Norwegian
Obviously there never full certainty
Haha, you americans are funny... good luck from Norway

Wake up guys new TRP vid just dropped
🚨⏰🚨⏰😴😴😞🙁😊
No. I was having some arousing dreams about Jennay.
I’m here
Here 👋
LETS GO ADAM!
Fogdog ran a PB of 3:53 on his birthday
Fogg Dogg 🔥🔥
Awesome stuff! Loved your podcast with Noah Lyles!
Thanks for the video
It is so fun to watch Nuguse run! Go Yared :)
Very impressive race! Lots of PR improvements is always a good thing!
I think you could and should do a video on yared nuguse - explain to me how while missing two drug tests he dropped his mile pr from 3:53 to 3:43 in one year - what other athlete in the history of the sport has done this? I’m listening
Mo Katir 😂😂
Beat me to it 😂@@seth5433
I'm one of those 124😃
70 years go, a sub-4-minute mile was deemed impossible. Roger Bannister would be proud.
Milrose champion right there that’s all in saying 1998 Madison square garden. One of the single best moments of my life
And. No more indoor but - short track. Life is changeable. And we really waiting for first SH in some big city's town square!
This season is really shaping up to be an unprecedentedly stellar indoor season and outdoor season
Kessler!! My favorite miler right now
He looks so good! He just needs to iron out his strategy and not get forced out of his rhythm. He might medal at the olympics.
There's really some great talent out there these are great times
I'm all hyped up
The depth of UK mile runners now is ridiculous
Amazing! Can't wait for the Olympics 🫶🏽
I hope they take time to show respect for kelvin at the Olympics.
The Men's 1500m is the best event in track right now. There's so many guys that could make the podium in Paris.
Mens 1500 Im most excited to see at Paris. So many contenders
The 1000 m outdoor WR is crazy for being done back in the days, I Wonder when they will try to break it again...
Make a video about it, it deserves it
It’s exciting to see all these speedy Americans 🤗
I think Nico young could join this list of runners under 13 in 5k and 350 in mile indoors. He basically already has with the altitude mile conversion
Nico young ain’t no sun 3:50 miler - ever
What is crazy is that both of the british guys in this race who ran sub 3:50 might not even make the olympics because Josh Kerr, Jake Wightman, Eliot Gilles, Neil Gourley, Callum Elson, etc.
It's gearing up to be an amazing year.
Hehe I see wot u did THURR

Amazing
🔥
Who else wants to see Josh and Jakob compete in the 5000m?
I am truly excited to see the potential and development of all athletics in the upcoming year into the Paris Olympics
🎉🎉🎉🎉

First time to see "wannamaker mlie" in comp (watch this on live), what's the difference between it and the regular 1 mile (male/female)?
I think because it's a road race and it's run in a straight line
No difference. It's just the name of the race. They often name races in honour of certain people that have died.
The "Wanamaker Mile" is named after someone called Rodman Wanamaker. The "Bowerman Mile" is named after Bill Bowerman.

You are exactly right
Nuguse!

"None other than" is your most clichéd phrase!
And "Against all odds!" No disrespect - it must be hard coming up with novel ways to speak about these incredible athletes, especially given the volume of content you put out, and you do it extremely well. I love this channel and it has increased my enthusiasm for the sport!
Yeah, his most cliched phrase is none other than "none other than" 😂
Narve will take the Olympic gold
I'm still sad about Kiptum. May he RIP. It's really not something that should have happened, he was the future of the marathon and would have been the first to break 2.
What about Matthew B
gates of greatness unleashed or opened? are gates on a leash?
Missing Nick Willis
Some legs are so big they look like they had help from steroids.
I dont understand the appeal of indoor track. Seems like way more stress on the body to have to run lots of laps with sharper turns.
This must be equipment aided. All this is happening now with these new shoe composites. Or some sort of ped enhancement. All these runners making these jumps out of no where. Not possible with just training.
Hobbs Kessler #1 in Paris. He messed up in this race when he fell to third place and did not recover.
and it cost him
I don't know about #1 but a medal might be coming home with him. He is looking so strong!
He got bumped otherwise I think/agree with you he beats doped up drugged up yared nuguse
What is wrong with showing the actual race. Really 1500m is the real distance.
Charlton does not look like a woman.
