I’d like to think that despite its size and many moving parts, at the center of the Gem Cutter machine is actually one solitary old dwarf going ham with a hammer and chisel… 😂
If you are holding the build tool in build mode and hover over an item and middle click it allows you to build that item. Will save you a ton of menu time.
I know you read these, not sure if you go back to read older videos. Just noticed the dev's added a sort for inventory!!! So much easier to assess what's a have and what's a need.
You might think of using the belt storage as a stand-in for walls with belt slits in them. just set it up so it is flush with the edge of the wall and above ground level so nothing can beat on it.
BTW: two materials does work. This issue is how it exits. I monitor mine and make adjustments. Once the station is empty it will function without monitoring.
Pipe Connections: Starting the pipe is fine but when getting to the end the auto snap doesn't allow an ideal connection (would be nice to be able to turn it off). Easy solution run a small pipe from the end link, this will disable the auto snap and give you a point to aim for. Once you've run your main pipe just delete that downcomer and finish the connection. This same thinking could be applied to going through ceilings or floors, make a straight downcomer from the machine to the floor, run your line to it, delete that downcomer and reconnect with the live line.
By the way, you said you didn't like how the walls had the small ledge at the top and bottom, for decorative purposes you can manipulate a wall block 3d dimensionally to avoid that, like each block has the ability to be flipped on its side.
I am still watching Part 12 when I write this but wanted to mention the splitters. I have built one extensive rail system. I added 4 stations each to accept 2 different materials so the single belt output can be split to transfer to my construction area. Filter splitting is a bit tricky but does work.
In order to have 10 million in your gold coin vault, if you build them, you will need 20 of the Grand coin platforms that hold 500k worth of coin each That is going to take up a lot of space. Something to think about. If you want the 10 million $ machine that will allow you to combine the 3 gems you need to find in the game in order to get to the current end game of this ea.
Just an idea to get to 10 million coins. Go search out some high end ores further away from base(Gold/Silver/Emerald etc) Set up ( If you have coal deposit near) pump and boilers along with auto seller (Sell them raw with no machines). Then just let them sell with no further input from you.
Still holding off on getting this game until the lag issues are addressed. Early access worries me when there are so many performance issues on release and still persistent after alpha/ beta release. That's one of the first issues that should be addressed. I'm hopeful, though.
They did some optimization this last update but the more equipment you have the lagger its going to get until they fix it. Also time vs amount its better if your end goal is to just make coin is to just sell the gold platters or gears. The emeralds sell for a bit more but the time to make and equipment needed aren't worth it. U will also need to find 3 things in the game and make one special item and that will be the ending for now. Devs say theres a lot more stuff to come. To include multi-player
I'm just curious about why you have multiple auto sellers when it looks like they have multiple inputs so they can sell multiple things. I understand the one for sapphires because it is out of the way of the other items. Just though it could save you some space.

Shh that's proprietary secrets laddie!

I *missed* that, thank you!

Use the fact that the auto seller has 2 inputs. Have gold gears or platters going into both of them and it will make you money much faster

@Kage848 if u dont want the lag dont build everything in 1 place... spread things out over the map it spreads the lag so its alot less noticable

Depends if you finds a *very* big deposit, but that can work around up to 7!

The lag only gets worse the more you build, I just locked my fps to 60 and it went away completely I’m playing in ultra as well hopefully this helps.
Also green gems sell for the most red the least and I’d save blue for the big bomb

I suggested to the devs that if they fixed the strings of ore from respawning that might help with the lag.

Does the floating ores add to the lag at all?
I'm hoping you can combine gems with other goods to improve their value.
I have bad lag with the more i use mine carts , i love them but i had to stop using them.
I'm not a fan of the way dynamite is triggered. I prefer something like Foundry with a hand trigger and let them fall.
that upgrade comes later.
