  • Update: Ian Seidenfeld became the Paralympic Champion at Tokyo 2020.
    Jenson won the bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics.
    At the US Open, I ran into my friend and opponent, US Para National Team member, Ian Seidenfeld (4’0”). I learned a lot talking with him.

    Ian just won Gold at the Paralympics taking down Rosenmeier again!

    • @iskandartaib
      @iskandartaib 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      If you want to watch the Rosenmeier-Seidenfeld match, it's in this live stream: th-cam.com/video/P4IfMWG2-OQ/w-d-xo.html starting at 0:47:30 (second match on the video). Not sure where the video's blocked, perhaps in Japan. A later match (3:57:00) is the Class 9 match between Lauren Devos (BEL) and Ma Lin (AUS). This, of course, is the OTHER Ma Lin. 😁

    • @iskandartaib
      @iskandartaib 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Incidentally, I watched almost no Olympics but I watched a lot of the Paralympics, mainly because there were live streams available on TH-cam (I hadn't figured out you could get a free VPN and watch it on NHK, otherwise I would have done it earlier). And it wasn't just the table tennis, I also followed Wheelchair Rugby and watched a number of the other sports. Very educational (and entertaining). Adam did a lot of the commentating (mostly on the wheelchair events) and he did an excellent job. I enjoyed that part of it a lot.

    • @chimyshark

      that's a lovely sentiment, video does a great job at portraying that. Sadly there is heavy discrimination in table tennis though, as with most sports - it's skill discrimination: most people refuse to play against beginners at most table tennis clubs, it sucks.
