In this video, I show you how to override a method in Java and show you what method overriding is! Java method overriding just means subclass methods replace the superclass methods if the object is set up using the subclass constructor.
I hope you enjoyed this method overriding in Java tutorial!

When the world needed him the most, he returned.
I love how simple and clear you make these things. You are a great man, and I am grateful for you.
Thanks for the tutorial! Didn't know you got back to doing java tutorials, or maybe it was a one time thing
I'm back :)
@@alexlorenlee great
@@alexlorenlee yess!
Thanks Alex your 14 minute video of Java was awesome
Thank you for the clear explanation. I started coding by learning static languages like Java, but then moved on to work in Python at university. I still feel much more comfortable in Java! Working on obtaining a software engineering position working with Java.
Awesome to see you back you helped me get an A ❤
I'm so happy to see you back! Currently doing a java programming course and almost ready to quit since I can't understand anything. It gives me hope to see you back since the parts that I do understand are only because of your videos
same haha
I'm in my college years right now studying cs... this override thing didnt even make sense.... and you simplified it in 7 minutes thank you Alex 😌
You are one the best teachers of java on the internet❤🙏
Wait, you doing java tutorials again?
yup!
@@alexlorenleeI’m taking C++ now I used you when I first started xD you should do c++ videos now
@@youmadpleb1582the translations shouldn’t be that hard since the languages are relatively similar so long as you understand the concept granted I know both languages to an extent which makes it easier to translate lol
@@Sammym2001 yeah they do look fairly similar , but as a noobie it would be awesome to not have that added layer of translating XD but wishful thinking !
@@youmadpleb1582 I fully agree with you there
Very simple and useful
im so glad you're back!
I'm glad to be back :)
Bro congrats, ur awesome, i understood perfectly
Well done, thanks!
Glad to see you back!🎉🎉🎉
you are great man thank you!!
welcome back, Alex. I like your contents, and wondering if you have a plan to create full stack course.
Needed this ! Thanks Alex
This is so good!!!🥺🫶🏻my 2hours class cnt even explain clearly like this to me!!
Simple and great! Thanks for your efforts!
AstalaVista Lee ! nice to see you back 🌻😍.
welcome back brother!
I am a student at university. We do Python and Java. Everyone is saying to go for Python. I like to know what are the advantages compared to Python in learning Java for a career in software development?
Python is great and more modern. But if you learn Java it's way easier to learn almost any other programming language afterwards. If you only learned Python, you'd struggle to learn other languages because it's a bit oversimplified from an education standpoint, in my opinion.
Owesome work
Alex, How would you learn to code (If you could start over)
Thank you bro❤
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤yeyyy welcome backkkkk!!
is it possible to have an output if we do Chihuahua d = new Dog(); instead?
I paid for your tutorials.🎉
that was explained to me as polymorphism
Alex which days will u be publishing videos? 😊😊
My goal is to get better grades in my computer science course what do you recommend i do to practice programming
This is up-casting right ?
Why did you use get with AvgSize?
Go throuhH to what android or backend?
Great video! Maybe could have mentioned the @Override annotation, but no biggie
Yeah that's kinda what I was looking for lol
