I love your videos no matter the length. I’m an odd one that doesn’t work on other things while watching these. Even the long ones, I watch like I would a movie. 😂 I’d been obsessing over digital gardens a while back, and your use of that app you talked about has me thinking about them all over again. I don’t know if a digital garden would be your kind of thing, but I’d definitely follow along if you were to ever make your knowledge management digital and public. 😅 I feel like there’s so much overlap in our interests. As far as regular reviews of my system, I flip through mine randomly when I feel the need to, but I also make it a point to do a reflection weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly. It helps me get somewhat of a grasp of the passage of time, though I still don’t feel like I move through time in a linear fashion. Without my regular reflections, things I did last week feel like months ago, and things from months ago can feel like days ago. It’s all over the place. Your videos are such an inspiration. Thanks for sharing your process with us. It truly makes me feel less a lone in so many things. Take care!
have you ever made one?? have my notes on my intrigue with it archived too haha! got lost in the how do i source them as a website cost-efficiently thing! got into obsidian for a while and i know they used to offer a payment plan and website frame thing to host a blog like that: for anyone not sure what that is it's like a wikipedia type blog where you link pages through those click-on hyperlinked themes that lead to other pages!! some of them also create mindmaps of the themes for you so you have this evolving view of how the ideas you put in link out to the others! it is really cool! uhh yeah got lost in the search of how and where and how much to do that for! or do you have a favorite one maybe! been so long since i looked into this but would love to know! feel like if i'm ever going to blog using my own words and ideas that's how i would go about it!! such a fun little community on the internet. i think they are practically doing that for luhmann's zettelkasten too (so it can be looked through online) it's a very zettelkasten type of way of navigating through a blog!
@@curseofcontext I’m unsure what the best way to go about this is, as I’ve yet to implement it. I’ve just been reading about and found it fascinating. I think if I do try, it would be through Obsidian with help from my tech-savvy spouse. I like the idea of instead of having a static blog post, your thoughts and ideas grow organically and people can watch as a simple idea or connection develops into a fully fledged one. Such cool ideas with these!

Really enjoyed this video, seeing the pages on your patreon and then in your filofax is so cool. They really come to life! Excited for the ongoing development of your pages and enjoying all these videos/updates. All are appreciated
This made me feel very seen today ❤️ I’m having kind of a rough one, and just you talking about measuring how many spoons certain types of cooking takes and managing your hyper-fixations just made me feel not as alone. Hope you have a great day!
Ahhhh Dad got you your archive book. That's awesome. Go Dad! :) BTW: The giant Moterm pocket that you're never sure what to do with.... ...ephemera. That pocket is great for ephemera because you can put something big like a flier or a map even in it while you're traveling. Then when you're in a place that you can put it properly in your journal you can cut it down to whatever sizes without worrying about it. Cheers!
I grew up near Toronto! I hope you enjoy your visit. If you have a chance, check out Little Ghosts Books while you're in town-- it's a spooky/horror bookshop with a cafe and I think you might be into it.
Wow, the video is almost an hour long, I'm so glad about it! I don't usually write comments, but I like your videos so much, especially the conversational part :) they're so soothing, I watch them every day, so I've even started to rewatch the old ones (I hope it doesn't sound weird hahaha, I just really love them)
I have been binge watching your videos, so thank you so much! love your ideas, your words, thank you for being real, and huge thank you for showing this archiving binder. Much love!
when i was in school, all the way up to my 2nd year of uni i used 3-ring binders for my school notes even when everybody else had upgraded to laptops or ipads. i’ve always struggled to use regular or digital notebooks as planners/journals, i wonder if a filofax would jive better with me given i spent a decade using a similar system for school. good video!
love the log idea to structure, unfold or review hyperfixations! for me it's the themes or patterns that really draw me in but i often don't spell them out for me. if i have my processing-scribbles with that sense of "i'm really in it now" they get so "out of hand" that in order for them to be more fun to reread or repurpose there's like an overview-quality missing to aid with legibility! very unlinear experience for me. the "context they were made in" or "feeling the month again" (!) thing gets me all the time! it's like i want to be able to recreate the context-flow as it was but also fluidify the pageflow as wanted or needed but i guess that could be done via page-referencing or indexing system just really dislike using date-numbers for that 🗃️🧐 the index card idea actually could be so good for the contextual-repurposing intention, gotta chew that over! oH the bear-screenshots thrill me haha love that app so much, has done me so much good over the years!! those tagging-sections! i'm still reworking mine. okay going over and working out my theme tags may change my life!! 🫢
I absolutely love the super long videos! Oh I seem to recall you experience hay fever so I’m doing my PSA to begin your antihistamines, nasal sprays and inhalers this weekend. 💖💖💖
so excited for the recipe pages especially!!! i pretty much exclusively cook at home so it can get overwhelming keeping track of ingredients and what meals take more time/energy/dishes (especially on low energy days), so having that little rating system is sooo helpful to just clear all of that clutter from my brain and ease decision fatigue
i’m from Toronto and i hope you have a good time when you visit!! 🩷 when i travelled to New York to visit my brother, i left my journal at home and took notes on my phone of the days and saved ephemera in a book. thank you sm for sharing!
I also have a very good time with the info dumps so no worries there! Keeping a list of things to get through in the video did seem like it helped though

Digital to do lists are so handy. I tried to emulate it in my rings set-up by using a smaller page that migrates along to my current week so that I have a running list that isn't tied to any particular date or week.
I'm sorry did not enjoy showing your face later, Megan. I am very thankful you have shared some, including your stim video. And I very much relate to the hyperfixation. Hey! Sorry if youve had this question before, but I was wondering when you write up 'backlog' i guess you could call it (like how for your birthday you wrote it a few days later) do you write it in current or past tense? Like do you write it saying 'today was a good day' or more like 'that was a good day'
I think it’d be nice if you made a separate hyper fixation log that says inspiration log! For those things we just obsess over because we love them so much.
i'll have some dedicated pages for special interests, but truthfully i consider hyper fixations and inspirations to be v different things. good hyper fixations could be in the log too though!
