Heck, I didnt get fibre in my childhood home untill 2017/18. We used dial up untill 2008-2010 something.

The lure for clan hall is Way worse though. Easy for one guy to pull off and so much less suspicious to set up. I doubt I would have gotten scammed in ags2. But clan hall would be trivial

the clan hall bug was just missing a flag which cleared recent damage upon leaving.

If you die on the same tick the desert treasure trapdoor animation starts it teles you to lumby and then you fall through a trapdoor in lumbridge and get teled to the pyramid. Idk if you can do anything with that but I certainly cant 😂
I fell to this scam when i was 10 years old, some guy befriended me and played with me for days and after sometime he would tell me that he had built his house and he knew that i had dharok set, and back in 2005-6 i had no clue what max hit was or anything and the scammer invited me to his house, lowered my hp minute by minute and we hopped out of the ring and talked for sometime, we then left the house and walked for a few meters. Then he said, wait! carefull!! You are low HP, and i noticed and panicked for no reason, then he trades me fking poisened karambwans :'D Still haunts me till this day...
Hey gudi. Cast veng other on a lvl 3 with 1 defense. Have the lvl 3 attack the victim, and the second he attacks he simultaneously spins the spinning plate from Django. At that exact moment kick everyone from the clan hall. The vengeance proc tick will delay from the spinning plate and hit the victim after they are kicked from the instance. (Auto retaliate must be on)
This used to work in PoH in 2006 and I used it to steal rares and other things. Best my team got was purple phat. A very rare glitch in the games history not many people knew about. Interesting to know it would have worked in this instance too.
With a lvl 3 ud get next to no damage off , I'm amazingly surprised you got a single kill xd gz tho
@nameunavailable-gp3ot you don't need damage. The lvl 3 gets hit by auto retaliate and finishes the victim with vengeance proc because you get them to 1 hp first in ring
@@TexasGreed vengeance only damages based on damage received , sure u can get em to 1hp but that's incredibly difficult to manage , could have just used a higher lvl
@@nameunavailable-gp3ot in 2006 this was the only way. And yes sometimes it failed. You needed them to have low defense so they don't hit 0 since you have to kick at same time. The person you're luring is unlikely to give you a second shot. Getting them to 1 hp wasn't that hard because back then people were willing to do random stuff for fun. We told people we were making a video and made up bs reason to get them low like a challenge.

a dude posted on reddit 3 days ago that he lured via the POH combat ring in this exact same way, they dealt damage to him in the POH then they teled to corp and died to the boss and they got his key. I think there is some way this still works in the POH
Amazing work, all the scam artists playing the years old mindgames that any 15+ y/o should see through while there was a god-tier lure existing. This is 100% the best lure there has been since you never have to do anything stupid to get scammed, it’s just an actual oversight in how the game worked. Great job to find it, document it and getting it fixed!
The scam artists target dumb dumbs, the type of people who caused companies to put warning labels to shampoo bottles not to drink the shampoo
What if your friend hits you for like 800+ damage (you use an inventory of heals) while you're in the clan hall and then you go out to wildy to do some risky activities like boss killing, bone altar or just pking and then you died... would your friend who did a ton of damage while in clan hall get the loot key instead of the person who killed you in the wilderness? If so that's a straightforward exploit to basically prevent any risk of losing gear in the wildy...
prior to the patch, yes. this is also possible with damage dealt in the wilderness. you can have a friend deal damage to you to ensure they get your items.

This is the exact same method we lured a few party hats for back in RS2 on construction release. Fighting ring - DDS - Kick before poison ticks.
i remember it well! i wanted a segment about it/other big POH lures, but i struggled to find any footage of the poison trick from 2006.

You said it clearly. The bug had to do with delayed damage. Godsword caused the bug because it did delayed damage. Their "fix" was to prevent godwsord from doing delayed damage.
... And they call that a fix??? No way!
Godsword was one possible example of using the bug. They never fixed the bug itself!
All you have to do is to find an other way to deal delayed damage... Or wait for devs to release something new that does and forget to add that specific check...
this used to be an issue with combat rings in POHs. I fell to a limestone smelting scam pre-rs3 and lost my bank smh

I genuinely don't find making content on others "suffering" behalf is worth it. The cat and the Rune Pouch isn't the worst things to loose, but that's beside the point. In the end you're still doing it "for the views".
I also find this content to potentially harmful. People in my Discord channel decided to explore these ideas because you showed the bug about the Ancient God Sword. What do you think a handful of bug hunter can find if they look far enough, and in their hands it wont be as safe.

I remember losing my items to a lure involving this back when first starting in like 2004 or something. Someone poisoned me inside their house and kicked me, I died to the poison outside their house and they just picked up me stuff (pre-gravestone etc)
