For the 600th anniversary, an even larger crowd than usual gathered to watch a series of 3D projections that illustrated important moments in the clock's history. Accompanied by sound effects, the video projections recreated the clock's construction, destruction, and repair.
I have just come back from a weekend break in Prague and saw this for real and it is AMAZING!! The city is beautiful and full of character, but that show just made the weekend for me!

Prague is a city with so much history. I have visited the city last year, and am proud of the kindly citizens and how the city do such great work to keep ancient history to 2010. The tower clocks are really amazing, but if to see them : you must wait for a *quiet* moment, because it is certainly one of the most visiting parts of Prague. Nevertheless, it is so miraculeous that people in 1410 could produce such a clock with all information. Incredible how they have done this!

Před takovou akcí by se vážně mělo příště zakázat fotit s bleskem (a vysvětlit dotyčným, že z těch fotek stejně nic mít nebudou) :/ Jen to ruší celé představení :( Jinak naprosto úžasné, fakt všechny palce nahoru, snad se mi podaří u něčeho tak úžasného být někdy naživo :)

@TheSoma78 Možná by šlo zkusit "odůvodnění" jako v podobném případě zpráv České televize :D a sice, že se obrací čas, abychom se podívali zpátky na to co bylo. Anglicky se tomu říká PHR z latiny - Post Hoc Rationalisation, aneb znouzectnost. Kvituji chrabrost, se kterou to berete jako chybu.
@TheSoma78 wow, obdivuji, ze jste ve dvou lidech dokazali udelat takovouto projekci.. Je super, ze jste i interaktivni a komunikujete s lidmi o tomto projektu.. Delate i jine animace, nebo se specializujete pouze na video-mapping?
prosim nepovazujte me za kulturniho barbara, ale presne jake historicke udalosti konkretne to mapuje? nektere jsem jasne zaznamenala, ale u neceho jsem vubec nevedela...
@TheSoma78 No ale prosim zakazte foceni s bleskem, tohle je hrozne se na to divat, mozna to bylo hezky ale uprimne, nezvladl jsem videt ani celou minutu, diky blesky z fotakach. To bych byl moc nasrany kdybych tam byl a vsechno to lidi tak uspesne zkazily.

Well lots of the Orloj meanings-the solar system (in this case only Earth, Sun and Moon), signs of the Zodiac, then story from Middleage (Hussite wars), the crown of st. Wenceslas (he is the symbol of Czech statehood and Czech patron, has lived in 10th century), sign of Czech lion, show of 12 apostles which is showing every day 9:00-21:00, this was of course in bigger picture... :-)
Téměř dokonalé a beztak úžasné. Chybička se ale vždycky vloudí, ve druhé minutě se zeměkoule točí v protisměru. To jsem naposledy zažil u velké show v Anglii, a já si blbec myslel, že Češi jsou vzdělanější.
Super show!!! Jenom skoda, ze to video nema poradnej zvuk - nejak tam chybej stredy a hloubky, vejsky jsou moc hlasity - neofficialni videa maji vetsinou prijemnejsi zvuk. Kazdopadne, jestli budete tuhle akci nekdy opakovat tak si ji ujit nenecham a zaletim si do cech:-)

just to let you know, the clock is now under reconstruction and you can't see it in person for some time
well, more like maintenance than reconstruction, but it's gonna by covered by scaffold anyways
We were just in Prague 3 weeks ago, and the clock is still visible, the scaffolding is on either side and above the show pieces.
