I have gotten this problem more recently over the past few weeks, and I have already determined that this is an issue with my router where I have the "red light of death" and I can't really determine if it had gotten some kind of bad firmware update or something or just my ISP having some issues on their end, cause just yesterday it was working just fine like normal, then today again, it's happening at least 2-4 times with the connection going on, I'm likely going to have to reset my router and see if that helps, but if not, then it might be looking like I have to buy a new one. If you have any ideas on what it might be let me know.

Works for a few times then fails to connect again. Only sure fire way to get around this DNS Probe issue is to restart Windows 10. Even then, I have to manualy connect to the internet each time. This does not permanently fix the DNS problem as it will recur after three or four start ups of my computer. However, last week, after having this problem for over a year, MS must have sent an update to Windows 10 (or the Drivers) because the problem has now gone away (touch wood). Some background. My machine is an HP 9470m bought in 2013 with Windows-7. Upgraded to Windows 10 in November 2019. DNS probe first appeared in late January 2020. Added to that the computer would hang; making it near unusable. Did a full reinstall in March 2020 and after first Windows update the DNS probe issue came back, but now I could clear the DNS Probe issue for a time by restarting the laptop. Other than that the laptop worked fine. Then last week..... Ta daaaaaaaa! My experience has been - the eperts do not have all the answers, and time and patience worked for me.

I use Driver Booster from IOBit to update all drivers. I can also repair settings and common problems like network issues, etc. What's your opinion on that program?
@@Britec09 Thanks. That's interesting. I will certainly reïnstall Windows then soon without these updates done by this program. I knew in the back of my mind there was something wrong with this LOL. I know they try to force partner programs on installation, but I decline it all. But they could also be installing unwanted drivers of course. They had me with this one.

hello mister Britek you forget the command on CMD as admi, to re-set for tcp / ip which allows you to circulate and surf the net, to my knowledge there are 2 software that I use every day like mini tool box.exe , ComIntRep_x64.exe if your conextion is not fast enough to try the software, ULTRA ADWADARES KILLER it updates itself to guarantee you an update to strengthen ps it is software its freeware and always compatible with WINDOWS 10 PRO32 / 64 BITS . before you forget the command in CMD as admi, netsh int ip reset what allows you to do better with your connection special attention You have to re-start please thank you bravo for your very interesting void as always I keep you as a reference if places or an emergency to repair my pc. to you ..

I did everything Uninstalled the updates & Antivirus Now Troubleshooter is saying the connection between your access point , router or cable modem & internet is broken!! & 😭😭major problem after that is my laptop battery is dead & not charging udjk now whats the fuc*ing fault my charger or else .. it's been two days laptop off😭😭😭

Thanks to BRITEC, my pc had stopped accessing the internet because of the DNS problem, I followed the steps and it's working properly now.

You only have 4GB of RAM. Windows 10 might run a bit slow with only 4GB.
