Infact, this ghazal is in my proud possession in the form of a CD album, featuring this ghazal, among others, which I happened to purchase for my Sony Music System, a few years back ! Beautiful lafz, coupled with beautiful mosiki and bemisaal gayiki, had paved the way for a lajabab ghazal ! Ustadjee has added an altogether new dimension to the art of ghazal gayiki making it more soothing and soulful and worth - listening again and again without getting bored ! What a beautiful composition it was ! How soulful was Ustadjee in performing it ! What a wonderful feeling it has been ! I have enjoyed it thoroughly ! " Bahut Hi Lutf Mila Sunkar !" Sir, I always get impressed by your appreciation of Ustad Ghulam Ali's singing.I have been hearing this legend for over 30 years now and have also attended a few of his concerts.Could not enjoy anyone 's ghazal singingever since I played him on my cassette player .May God bless you and Ustad Ghulam Ali ji.
Despite he being only one on earth , he is so humble. I met him personally in jodhpur once. He performed their on the barsi of his friend ustad Sultan Khan. His gayaki is out of this world. His performance takes you into a different world where there are no problems and worries. You just keep on listening and listening.
God ne Ghulam Ali ko banane ke baad mould tod diya. Nobody on earth has the command on taal like he has. He plays with taal as per his will. Surs are imppecable. Such singing is possible only with God gift.

I remember listening to this version on a tape recorder mote than three decades back.... Especially hear the rendition of the stanza " Aab to har shaam gujarti hai" only Ustaad Ghulam Aliji can create these...

Tari Khan on tabla is unstoppable as always. They used to perform together in those days but some rift took them apart and they never collaborated again.
