I support this move. The students studying architecture will be confused if they call this mughal garden and the garden is now a combination of various cultures. It's not even a garden anymore, it's a farm, it's a park, it's a garden and much more... It's kind of a special establishment. Since it's not made in memory of any particular person i don't see what's wrong with renaming it. It only rejuvenates the importance of this garden in India.
The Problem is why renaming thing which you haven't made? Why not name thing which you make insted of changing the name of things which already exist.

@@cia8680 many cities' names were changed during Mughal and British time..now the govt is just reclaiming those names.
For example Bengaluru was named banglore during British era but in 2014 the original name was again established that is 'Bengaluru'.
I don't think so There was anything Called Mumbai city before british government or Rastrapati bhavan.
That's what I am saying, everything should have their original name given by their creator.

This garden will be redeveloped under the Central Vista redevelopment project. It makes sense that it will have an actual name instead of just calling it by name of old copied gardens.

I've 2 POV -
1)- the new name is a part of revival movement of our culture.
And i totally endorse that we support our culture and language at any possible point.
2)- i also want to say that Mughal garden is a type of garden, it is their invention.Hance, named after them unlike the cities whose name changed by Mughals in themselves.

Yes Sir i have read about this because of my interest. There are various types of garden. Mughal Garden which are more grid sized. English Garden, Japanese Garden, Chinese Garden, Rajput Garden and many more. I have read about it extensively;for me i like japanese garden they are more sustainable but requires hard work and determination to maintain them.
