Great video James and a very well done, especially only a few weeks after London. I must confess I have not heard of that race before. It looks hard but an epic race to have on your CV, and you have done it a few times. It definitely is not a road shoe race though, especially those expensive road shoes 😄 Furthest trail run I have done is 2 half's, Tittesworth which is Derby way I think? and South Downs Way half, both this year This one looks like I need it on my list. I guess it's point to point? Is it easy to get in, no ballot or anything? It looked a nightmare at the start, unless you were near the front, but I guess there are not many people who are going for a time on this one. Again, great effort and great video What is your next race?
it's a great race. no ballot entry so you can sign up whenever you want. they also do a ultra and a 10k (also on the Saturday, same as the marathon) or you could do the half marathon which is on the Sunday. it's such a nice race (circular). Some people do it in road shoes although I wouldn't advise it and this year was def one for big lugged trail shoes!
Thanks for the comment, really appreciated it :) Looks like your question has been answered about the event. I don't have anything else booked this year, going to focus on getting my parkrun time closer to where I was before. I have lost speed during the last few years. So far for 2023 I have Warwick 1/2 in Feb, GNR, Chester Marathon and of course Beachy Head Marathon in October. More will be added though.
@@jamescruze08 I did Warwick this year as it's only 20 odd mins down the road from me It was actually my first ever competitive race as It is only this year I have started entering races. I also did Chester Marathon this year, my first ever Marathon, and I have already signed up for that next year as I really enjoyed it. I may do the Beachy Head one but it is not far after Chester, so will see I am doing Brighton in April and want to do the virtual London by running either Southampton, Blackpool or Stratford marathon, which are on the same day as London, so I will then see if I can manage two marathons in a month 🤪
Well done James , Iv done this marathon several times as I live locally, you captured it beautifully 👍
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it :)
Well done James! That scenery is beautiful ❤️
Thanks mate - it's lovely!
I really like that course. It’s beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
Your welcome :)
